Losing weight while fighting depression and anxiety

Hi I'm looking for advice on how to pump myself up to lose weight and eat better while fighting my depression and anxiety. My weight and cholesterol are awful. I want to get healthy because I had a baby 6mo ago and I need to be alive as long as possible for him. Right now it's really hard to keep going with nutrition. Thank you

Start simple. Do you drink full sugar soda? Switch to diet. That's a start right there. Then look at other things you could either get rid of or switch for something else. Potato chips, candy, when I'm losing weight I cut out snacks altogether, but that's me, other people don't.1

The first obvious answer would be, have you told your doctor? Postpartum problems like anxiety and depression are big issues. You may need some treatment for a few months.
Then I agree with sollyn. Start. The more good choices I made the better I felt. Good nutrition is really under-rated and I believe I was causing a lot of my depressed mood by not getting the nutrients my body needed. I feel like a completely different person now that lettuce and broccoli are more common for me than Coke and ice cream. I know it can seem like sweets are a solution to a bad mood but in fact they make it worse.
I also found that walking outside is a huge mood-booster. Maybe look for some kind of outdoor activity.
I wish you well.2
