Help with Fitbit connection issue

I was having an issue with my Fitbit sync so I disconnected the apps from both apps. However I attempted to re-connect them through Myfitnesspal and it keeps going to a tab with this message, "There was a problem with your request Sorry, but a server error occurred processing your request. Our team has been notified of the issue." Myfitnesspal won't let me connect to Fitbit but I can't figure out how to fix this issue. The only advice I've seen for fixing this is to go into the Fitbit app and revoke Myfitnesspal's connection but I already did that when I disconnected them the first time and I'm still getting the same message. Was wondering if anyone had a tip or solution?
