@Michieb125 you’re always at the forefront of finding great LA and NA drinks! I’ll look for this one.
Had my wine last night, but I think it was a large glass, so technically, over one. Rats. I wish more restaurants would just offer 5 oz pours instead of automatically doing 6. Even if I didn’t finish, it’s hard to eyeball how much is one oz that I can leave behind. Oh well, I didn’t pour myself more when I got home, so that’s good. I was actually tired and collapsed into bed.
Meanwhile, 9 AF days and going strong! That is a HUGE amount for me! Plus maybe twice this month I had a second drink. But these damn big pours are ruining my stats! Grrr.
Here is some good news… for no reason I can discern, my weight jumped DOWN almost two pounds! It’s probably my muscles atrophying from lack of use since I still can’t exercise. My back is pretty jacked, still. Just when I think I’m almost healed, when I’m not taking Advil I still totally feel it. Hey kids, warm up properly before you exercise.

Good morning. I had 4 glasses of wine last night in 7 hours, so not tooo terrible considering the length of time. Back AF today and planning AF through the weekend.

We all have our own stories but one thing is for certain- we’re here because we want support, encouragement and a non-judgmental and safe community as we aim for less alcohol consumption.

Last night I poured a glass of the zero A Be Well white wine after my zero proof cosmo and had to throw it out - it had spoiled lol. The N.A. Chateau Diana white lasted much longer in the fridge. Live and learn!
AF last night and claiming AF again for today (even though it is a planned day for wine). I actually want to log a “0” day in my tracker more than I want a glass of wine day.

Hey gang haven't been in for a bit because I have been cleaning up the 8 inches of snow that fell on my FLORIDA house. Never thought I would ever be typing that sentence.
Anyhow being from Northern USA I am trudging through it fine. My house and property reminds me of the mullet hair cut(Billy Rae if you recall) The front has now no trace of snow, the back however is full blown Winter wonderland because the sun is not high enough in the sky to reach back there. It had not gotten warm enough to melt without direct sun.
Good news....still AF
110 day streak.
At 121 days that is a THRID of an entire year. Going to have to go for that min goal!!

Monthly Stats - On Target If When I finish strong, the best I can do is 81% Still a win!
AF = 13 ~ 59 %

Skipped the gym but emptied several boxes (at least 6) and that was a work out!
Made kale, Italian sausage soup for dinner and succeeded with no wine or alcohol! Everything good except water...
@Michieb125 ~ that Cosmo looks good. I found some low calorie cabernet the other day. It's 9% alcohol and 85 calories a serving.
@Womona ~ 6 oz is very good and not continuing the pour after you arrived home!! HUGE!
@chicbuc ~ You are being mindful as well. There's been a many a day where we all just drank and didn't even consider the amount or consider stopping.

Some day you'll have to post a comprehensive list of every NA and LA wine you've tried with your opinions on them - I know you've posted a number of them over the past few months, and I should have been keeping track, but I didn't
@MissMay we got 7 inches in SC! I'm also from up north so no big deal. But I'd like to know what's happened to the USPS - you know "neither rain nor snow nor....". We didn't get a delivery yesterday and it looks like we're not getting one today either! And my SO went to his bank around 12 noon today, and all the employees were leaving, the manager said the roads were too dangerous and they had to let the employees go home. This was THIS MORNING, not yesterday when it was actually snowing! And the main roads were clear THIS MORNING! And they had a delayed opening to account for roads this morning, 10:30am!!!!!
oops, sorry for the rant.....
Anyway what I really wanted to say to you is 110 day streak WOW and Congratulations!!!!! Sending some warmth to your backyard, and to you as well for all you do for us.

@itladyee sounds like you had a wonderfully healthy day, and did double duty with the workout/box emptying.
I almost went to the store and picked up wine today - I had to fight off cravings a couple of times this afternoon. Then, at one point, I realized it wasn't necessarily wine I wanted, it was just that I'm sick of drinking diet pepsi all afternoon. Then I remembered I had some Fever Tree pink grapefruit sparkling water, and am now sipping on my second bottle of that.
I know I learned about Fever Tree from someone here a few months ago, and I'm sorry I can't remember who it was, but whoever you are, thank you for mentioning it, this stuff is really delicious. I also picked up the Light Tonic Water, but drank that up weeks ago. The only problem with this stuff is that the bottles are so small, I wish they'd bottle it in 750 ml bottles. Of course then I'd be spending as much on the Fever Tree as I do on a bottle of wine, so my "save money" reason for AF wouldn't work any more LOL.
Anyway, I'm off to search the stores in my area to see which ones carry which flavors of this delicious beverage!

PA has state liquor stores, but they also have “Chairman’s selection” wines that are really good at a fantastic price. Bought a mixed case last week, complete guess as to what I was really getting. It can be a crapshoot.
So because I was running late today. I grabbed a random bottle of wine from my house for Wine Night at work, and it was freaking delicious! So delicious that I had another glass when I went home. So, two for tonight, one was unplanned. Ah well, will do better tomorrow.

I know @SparkSpringtime69 and @wowona this weather has the entire Gulf from Texas to far into the Carolinas shaking our heads. One more extreme cold night her, then all the way into the 50 degrees LOL! And my question to my huband also was, what happened to the through rain nor sleet nor snow will stop the US Mail??? At .73 cents per first class mail. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

They have been historic in many ways for me. I will never regret changing our category from challenges to motivation and support. Because as we have found out this cannot be a challenge. It is a lifestyle change

One week left until January 31st….for me, this LA lifestyle is taking daily practice to develop long term muscle memory.
Three weeks into the month, I’m pleased I’ll be able to report I’ve logged 3-4 AF days for each week.
I am also noticing if I’m tired, I’m not as mindful. This week I ate way more than usual 😑. The snacks have got to go!

Wow I missed a few days and I have a hour of reading to catch up! That's what I get. Work was total chaos this week with people leaving and I swear I worked 4 14-hr days in a row to hit a project deadline. Friday night I was TOAST. I'm still 100% AF but if there was a bottle of wine in the house I would've devoured it.
Instead I found an old Corona NA beer and drank it and had a salad and watched comedians on TV. And I snuck in some chocolate chips.
Weekend is here - gym in the morning then off to a lunch party in Scottsdale.
@Surfergirl1982 my favorite yogurt is from your neck of the woods, Tillamook greek yogurt. My new breakfast since I can't afford my 6 egg whites a day anymore.

@MissMay is that how much stamps are???? Geez. No wonder they introduced the Forever stamps- the price keeps changing faster than we can get through a book, and if we actually saw the price on the stamp, we’d all be screaming!
@SparkSpringtime69 thank you, I did sleep better last night. I’m sure only one glass of wine with dinner helped- two on an emptyish stomach does not work!
@Michieb125 thar’s a great insight. Tired means less mindfulness. I guess we have to check in with ourselves the way we do with toddlers to figure out what’s wrong. Are we tired? Overtired? hungry? In pain? Sad or angry about something? (Hopefully not wet, haha! ) figuring that stuff out when my kids were little went a very long way toward understanding their behavior, and her solving the problem.
@tobinross i may adopt your weekly weigh in instead of daily. My weight is up today, but I know I ate a delicious pastrami Reuben yesterday, therefore the water retention from salt went up. At least I know it’s temporary!6 -
I enjoyed an AF night yesterday with hot tea and a N.A. rose’ flavored beverage. Stretching and a hot shower before bed is a perfect pairing for me.
Will repeat again tonight!
Heading out back to work a little on my garden today and then babysit my 10-month old grand dog later. She is full of energy that one!

I poured a glass of wine last night (all or nothing mentality) only to drink one glass. I poured the second and couldn't drink it. Instead drank a full bottle of water. This apparently was the start.....

Both DH and I are sick, stomach virus, and it's not pretty. I just finally got to a point of being able to sit upright for any amount of time!! We visited the grandkids on Thursday, and then on Thursday evening, we got a message that Julian (the 4-year-old was throwing up). We both felt okay yesterday, but overnight, it hit us! My husband seems a little worse off than I am as he can't keep anything down. Hopefully, he's better now. We were supposed to go out tonight with some new friends but that's not happening. I'm hearing recovery is 1 to 3 days....Stay well everyone!

good morning all!
well, i made it through the weekend and have a 7 day streak going! i had a few cravings of the 'don't i deserve it after a long week?' and 'but wine just goes so well with dinner' variety. i think in the future i will need some plans for if the cravings are a little stronger. i do have some flavoured bubbly seltzers i can put in my fancy wine glass.
@SurferGirl1982 be so proud of yourself and all you have accomplished so far. you are doing great.
@SparkSpringtime69 good job on your 8 day streak! you will be able to get there again soon.

@Womona what you said resonates with me - about the scale. I hear we're supposed to eat half the sodium but it's very, very hard unless we live on fruit and water. I'm measuring BMI now instead because my scale shows me the number and it doesn't fluctuate wildly like weight. In fact, my gym trainer says we need to focus on putting on muscle weight. And my spin class instructor who is 70 and looks amazing says I am cycling too hard so burning a lower % of fat; I was directed to stay in my "fat burning zone 2" at around 120 heart rate. I'm still learning!!
@Michieb125 18 days AF pretty commendable. Like you, I like hot beverages especially in the evening. It does seem to dampen cravings for sweets (for me).
@MissMay Hugs back to you! Your team LA here are crushing their goals big time!! And send me some of your Florida snow or sleet please - we haven't had precipitation since August!
AF yesterday and I went to a restaurant loaded with ladies drinking prosecco all over the place. I had diet coke from a glass bottle with lemon and it tasted quite good. I had great company and good food, all I needed. I'm off to plan today's hike!

@shpuniarsky congrats on 7 days AF! And good you're planning for cravings. The hardest part should be over but seems like cravings can hit randomly. Even if one tries to avoid all triggers, anything can cause a craving. But cravings weaken a lot over time to the point where they are just a passing thoughts that hold no power.
