SW: 225
CW: 215.9
GW: 170' s
December weight loss: 6 pounds
January weight loss so far: 3.1 pounds
Was aiming for a 6 pound weight loss for January, aint looking like thats gonna happen 🤔...but I'll take any loss.
The good: Im tracking. Increased my water intake. Walking daily except 1 day when it was rainy and cold.
Kayaked twice ...😁 my favorite thing.
I noticed the days when I walk and then kayak the same afternoon for long periods in the afternoon, I have a few pound weight gain the next day.
Also noticed that when I eat skinny pop pop corn (and I can eat a ton) I dont lose alot of weight. And the sodium is not particularly high.
The bad: The only bad was realizing that if I ate and exercised like this in my 20' s I prob would have lost 5 pounds this week, instead of .9. So yes, I am feeling my age.
Until next week friends...2 -
My Numbers:
SW: 263.4 lbs (Nov 1 2023)
CW: 174 lbs
GW: 170 lbs
LTGW: 130 lbs
Weigh-ins: Sundays
1/5/25 = 174 lbs
1/12/25 = 172.6
1/19/25 = 171.4
1/26/25 = 170.2
Total WL/G for the month = -3.8
It's hard to believe that January is almost over already! I'm really pleased with my results even though I had some slipups... Curse you, period week! I needed all of the chocolate on a few days 😭
But even so, I kept up with my new year's goal of exercising. Week 1 I started at doing 20 mins @ 3mph on the treadmill and here at week 4 I'm doing 40 mins @ 3.2 mph so making progress! I definitely feel like my stamina is improving. I'm hoping to make it to 60 min sessions on the treadmill by the end of Feb.2 -

UGW: 167 (healthy weight for a senior woman my height)

I do check-ins when I lose:
12/5/2024: 246
1/2/2025: 248
1/26 244.8
January Goals:
• 30 minutes of exercise 6 days a week. Have longer walks until I can walk around Greenlake
•arely January GW: Get into the mid to lower half of the 240s -
• Keep getting 7-8 hours of sleep
• Meal plan and cook 3+ dinners a week
• Keep my water intake up
Finally some progress! This week I have been slowly losing but was still above my recent low of 246. I have been keeping my calories low and doing some walking trying to lengthen my walks. We also do aquafit once a week. Friday I walked a long walk. I wanted to get to or past my most recent low before posting. Anyway when I weighed in this morning I was down 2.2 from yesterday and last week had lost 1.8 so that I finally have a new low. I am in the lower half of the 240s barely but hope to go lower by the end of the month. I may be 4 pounds from my high of early this month but I am only 1.2 pounds from my low early last month before the holidays. However my 1st weight loss goal was to get to or under my pandemic weight loss which I have just done. My next goal is to get to 220.
Since I have made progress and checked in I will look at how all of you are doing now.

I was reading your posts and kept realizing I was not reading the latest ones so I kept having to revise my replies. That is what I get for not posting most of the month.
@CupcakeCrusoe Nice to see the averages going down this month for you. I need to figure out how to get more protein too. I didn’t plan too much last week but my husband and youngest did some meals. I am going to try to plan more this week.
@nebslp Glad you are turning things around and soon you will see progress. It has taking me all month to fight for progress after Christmas and finally I am seeing it.
@mmatcha_latte I am glad that you have doing well this month. I haven’t quite met my exercise goals but have started to increase the walks both in length and number per week. My knee wasn’t helping on some days.
@roymason.I hope this week is better than your last post. I agree with that gentleman that sometimes we don’t give ourself credit for what we do because we wanted to do more or comparing with someone else and not ourselves. I am glad you didn’t let one weigh in keep you from keepin' on
.
@jenbroussard I am sorry that Riley is not doing well. I enjoyed seeing the snow pictures with my grandson in Houston. I think they had more like 6 inches. I hope things are getting back to normal.
@kristinwoods919 Nice loss. 1 lb a week is a good sustainable weight loss.
@lisakatz2 I am planning to start magnesium soon. I have been trying to take a step towards decreasing refined sugar. I found chocolate that uses dates to sweeten and doesn’t have lead in it like they have found in a lot of the regular brands. It is helping me. However I am eating smaller dinners and sometimes I fee hungry later so I have to figure that out.
@alsarve hope the check up goes well.

@KeriA Good morning! We had about 10 inches of snow. It came in as blizzard which was unbelievable. Every time I looked outside, I was surprised to see everything covered in white. It was very peaceful. We were warned to stay off the roads Tuesday - Thursday. My husband and son had to work at the fire station for three days straight. Their relief could not make it in due to the road conditions. It all melted away by Saturday afternoon and things are back to normal.
Riley had a checkup last Friday, the vet said most of the fluid in her abdomen was gone except a little around her liver. We were able to cut her fluid pills in half, I am so thankful for that and so is she. She lost nearly 3 lbs. of fluid in a week's time. Which is a lot for a small dog. (From 17 to 15.2 lbs.).
I hope you are doing well, and your week is off to a great start.1 -

January Progress - (2.8)
I'm not sure how much of my gain is due to a little winter storm snacking and how much is due to exercise. I guess I will see where things land on Friday. Despite the snow, I did manage to work out 6 times last week. My step average was down to 7,522. Total steps 52,655 and I hit 10K twice last week.
I had my scan at the gym last Friday and my trainer is impressed with the numbers. She said that I am her first client to be this consistent. I started working with her at the beginning of July and here are a few changes I've made in 7 months:
Pounds - 15.2
Lean Body Mass +2.2
Body Fat % -5.2%
Visceral Fat -5.3
Torso Fat-9.5
I am looking forward to seeing where I can be on April 24th as it will be 1 year that I started this journey. And then in July after working with a trainer.
I hope you all have a great week!

Good morning everyone!
I'm having a Tough Time, lol. But, though the horrors persist, so do I!
I'm back on my grind, determined to make this work, even if I don't hit goals. Everything can be going to poop and I can still do what I can do. The alternative is using everything happening to make excuses to make myself worse, and I won't do that. We're back to that values-led thinking: I am resilient. I know myself. I have discipline.
I've filled in my spreadsheet again, which was not fun. But I'm not yet up over where I started this month, so there's that.
Another thing I'm doing! The MIT lads finally finished the walk to Mordor spreadsheet, so I'm doing that. If any of you would like to be a fellowship or part of a fellowship and see how far you're going, the spreadsheet I'm using is here, and the place you can get your own spreadsheet is here. Depends on how competitive you are as to which one you pick- one you'll be comparing to me and whoever else wants to play, and the other is just you comparing yourself to Sam and Frodo. I'm Fellowship #1 on my spreadsheet.
That's it for now, I need to catch up on this thread, hopefully later today. Have a good day, everyone!2 -
I didn't do as well as I hoped for the month, but I got this.
Jan 1 starting weight 236.7
Jan 8 232.9
Jan 15 231.7
Jan 22 230.6
Jan 30 230.6
A loss is still a loss. I need to start drinking more water in February. And doing more cardio.2 -

January Progress - (4.00)
I had to fight for every bit of the 4 pounds lost in January. But if it were easy everyone would be doing it right? I really want to be in onderland, I have come very close in the last few months and then hit a wall. I need to change my thoughts around this. I can do it, and I will do it.
See you all in February!0 -
