Tracking Fiber Intake

Someone told me that there is a way of tracking daily fiber intake through your diary, how do you accomplish this?

I've heard that the goal for adult women is 25gs per day, pretty sure I get half that much!

    Yes, there is.

If you're logging your food, you can see the fiber total at any time.

In web browser MFP, you can use the "View Full Report" button at the bottom of your food diary page. You can also get a bar chart report of just fiber under "Reports", then pick "Fiber" in the drop-down.

In the phone/tablet app, you can see it via the "Nutrition" option in the "More" menu that's at lower right of the start-up dashboard page. There, it's in the "Nutrients" tab, and you can see either the day or the average for the week by changing from "Day View" to "Week View" near the top of that page.

If you'd like it to show up on your diary page, you can customize which columns show there. You have to choose 5 columns, so you'd need to replace one of the default columns with fiber.

In the app, you only see all the columns when the diary is in landscape orientation. The instructions for customizing the columns via web browser MFP are here:

    https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032621991-How-can-I-change-the-nutrients-that-are-tracked-in-my-diary

If you change the columns via the app, I don't know how. However, it appears that once columns are customized in the web version, those same columns will appear in the app when diary is in landscape mode, judging from my own case. (I replaced sugar with fiber in my columns.) I'd note that sometimes it takes a while, longer than I'd expect, for changes made to settings like this in the web version to sync over to the app, so give it some time.

Thanks Ann! Actually, I'm not doing too bad, I'm up to 13gs and I haven't even had lunch!
