Hi everyone! Today is my one year anniversary on MFP. I admit to dropping off for awhile, but have been pretty consistent for the last 4 months.
WEIGHT LOSS
All in all, I have lost over 40 pounds since 2020. I still have 30 more to go. I find that I hit plateaus and then it's really hard to keep losing weight. I've been between 160 and 164 FOREVER.
EATING HABITS
One of my main issues is nighttime eating. When I'm stressed it gets even worse. Anyone else? How do you cope?
Hitting my protein goal has been a challenge. Maybe that's why muscle gain hasn't been what I was hoping for, especially in my legs.
EXERCISE
I've been exercising (mostly lifting weights) for about a year. My aim has been to go to the gym 3-4x a week, and except for October which went to hell, I've pretty much managed 2x week except when sick. I'd still like to aim for 4x. This past week has been difficult, however, as I have NO energy. I may be fighting off something. Ugh.
ACCOUNTABILITY
I keep track of my weight most days. I need some kind of accountability, so I'll try and check in here. I like how some of you have done your accomplishments, and that's motivating.
Less time on social media. I'm addicted to FB, and am really feeling the need to cut way back.
HIGHLIGHTS of 2024
  • Traveling to Jordan (I went to Turkey and Egypt in 2023)
  • Bought a new car
  • Paid off debt except car and home
Unfortunately, there haven't been a lot. Work continues to be an issue. I will retire in 2016, so let's hope I can make it. I will be heading to Morocco in March, which I'm looking forward to.

Thank you for reading this far!
