Weight not being synced to Garmin

I have this issue for a few years now and it's bothering me and getting aggravating. I have a Renpho scale which syncs the weight to MFP and from MFP it should be synced to Garmin. I have disconnected and reconnected both several times but data from Garmin (like steps and activities) is getting through to MFP but my weight isn't getting through from MFP to Garmin. This is the only reason I use MFP now as unfortunately my Renpho scale can't connect to Garmin directly. And a Garmin-scale is too expensive.

I am having the exact same issue right now with my Renpho scale. It has lost it's mind multiple times and became disconnected from Garmin and MFP so I am looking into other scales right now. After reading about the Garmin scale in the Reddit forums, I am not convinced that is the answer. If I understand it correctly, I can manually enter my weight into Garmin Connect and it should reflect in MFP but I know - what a pain to have to manually enter numbers. I hope to find something that is seamless.

Unfortunately I think this is more of a Garmin issue than one with MFP, since we appear to be getting the information via sync without issue. Weight data is supposed to travel between Garmin and MFP, and vice versa, but using a Renpho scale to sync to MFP as a workaround to sync to Garmin does sound like a longshot. It's very possible Garmin doesn't support Renpho's dataset.

In any case, with integrations we always advise that when possible you link services directly rather than expecting data to sync across multiple platforms via a single connection. Also as a general rule; if a platform doesn't support taking information from a source directly, it's typically not expected that it will sync if you try it via a workaround (though it's really nice when it does).
