the app says i’ll loose 10 pounds by the 10th but i don’t want to, i want to keep a steady 2 pounds?

    Then you may need to eat more. The prediction is based on pure math, MFP has determined that you burn X amount of calories a day, you have logged Y amount of calories, the difference is you deficit, and it calculates how much weight you will lose in that period of time based on that.

    Good news is, the prediction is a gimmick. Just keep an eye on what you're weight is doing, and adjust if you're losing to fast etc.
