KettleBell Workouts

I'm new to MFP, but not new to kettlebell workouts. I'm curious why the more recent discussions of KBs are closed.
Also, I don't see any KB exercises in the exercise database, other than "Gym, kettlebells."
Not helpful.

If you're tracking calories from working out, look under Cardiovascular -> Strength Training. If you're looking to track specific exercises, I've never considered using MFP for that. I track progress with Google Sheets, or there are plenty of apps for that purpose.

I do KB exercises sometimes, used to do it more, and would underscore what Retro said. If you want to log KB workouts in MFP for calorie purposes, it's fine to use the "Kettlebell" option in the Cardiovascular section. Put in the whole workout time, including any normal short between-set rests, but of course omit any time that you took a substantially longer break if you did that for some reason. It's a reasonable estimate, IMO.

MFP isn't great for tracking individual strength-y exercises. I'm old school, like a tiny notebook better than any app I've found, but there are apps other people like for that purpose. If you did want to use the Strength section here to log individual exercises, you can add your own custom exercises with any name you wish.

    Thanks for the replies.
I'm getting back into KBs after a long lapse and I'm terribly de-conditioned. I'm starting with Tracy Reifkind's "Swing!" workouts.
