Sharing my steps from Samsung Health

I wear a Samsung Galaxy 5 watch to mostlyvtrack my steps. I have been able to sync the MyFitness app to Samsung Health app but it's only sharing my dietary log and none of my exercise. All permissions have been granted including sharing exercise, and yet it's not loading to MyFitness. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Just as soon as I post this question, I went back to my Dashboard, and low & behold...my steps were suddenly recorded. Guess it just needed a little time to finish sharing the data.

Yup, I use Samsung Health too, and there's often delays in the steps coming over to MFP. They tend to get there in the end!

My steps never sync to my fitness pal from Samsung Health. I, too, have granted all the permissions for sharing data between the apps, but nothing. Very frustrated!! Anyone have any advice?

I got my galaxy watch 7 in July. The steps logged as a exercise (walking) are counted, but not the steps of normal activity. My watch is recording both numbers - exercise steps and total steps. Still no solutions??

I just moved from Garmin to Samsung (do prefer the watch aspect better) and found that Samsung doesn't play as nice with MFP as Garmin did. My steps do sync well, but it takes time for it to show up.

I do have an issue with the exercise calories in MFP, and personally don't use them. Sometimes MFP likes to double my recorded activity in Samsung. And other times, it likes to say that the same number of steps (i.e, 10,000) is 50 calories one day and 300 another! Very frustrating. (and, before people say it, less than half of it will be treadmill work)

I am toying with moving everything to Health Connect, then using Garmin for my exercise, while using Samsung for my usual daily activity. Once Garmin plays nicer with Health connect, and I get the Android 16 update on my Samsung, which is supposed to improve this, I'm going to see what happens.
