The main frustrating thing I find with this app is best illustrated with an example.
Take a packet of polos. I've scanned the barcode and have got my polos and then I have to enter a serving size which defaults to 1 packet. Now I want to enter one polo, so I find myself having to divide the serving size by 21 polos in a packet and enter a serving size of 0.047, which is crazy! Then when I eat another one, and I update the snack I have to double the serving size and enter 0.094 which is also crazy.
I must be missing something here as this is so basic. Calories are based on grams, so you should be allowed to at least enter the number of grams and for each ingredient associate a number of grams with a unit. So for my polos as a one-off I enter 1 polo = 34(grams)/21(number in a packet) = 1.619 grams and then all future entries I can then enter the number of polos I've eaten

If you're the only one eating them, make it simpler. For example, if you eat the pack over two days, enter 0.5 each day. You may have had a few more or less here and there, but the total is the same. With all of the massive estimates in this process of calorie tracking (labels can be 20% off), restaurants, exercise calories, etc., it's no big deal.0

The barcode scanner gives you one result - try the manual search and you'll possibly get multiple results, hopefully including one that has the option to enter food per weight unit and/or per individual food item.
And if it doesn't exist yet, you can create your own database entry.1 -
If there's no other units in the drop down serving size box (only the roll), it's because whoever entered it only put that one in.
You can "report food" and give updated info, but honestly, whether it gets updated or not in a crapshoot.
I prefer to scroll right down to the bottom of the page brought up after scanning and choose "find a better match" then you can enter all the info, including the serving size information, and save it. Then it will be saved to "My foods" and also will come up with your updated info when you scan.2
