    Hello, and welcome!

I'm also a boomer (69 F), but have been on MFP for almost 9 years now, just under a year of loss, then maintaining a healthy weight since.

I'd recommend reading around in the Community, especially in the "Most Helpful Posts" part of each subject area of interest as you have time, because there's some great info in there from other experienced users. I learned a lot from that.

Also, maybe take a look in the Motivation and Support or Challenges area, where there are a fair number of varied accountability or support threads you can consider joining. Don't be worried about participating in amongst the young'uns: We have more in common when it comes to weight management and fitness than we have differences.

Don't be afraid to post if you have questions. In my experience, there's a diversity of opinions, but most people here truly want to help.

I'm cheering for you to succeed, because in my experience, the quality of life improvement is more than worth the effort investment. Best wishes!
