Day 4

I drank a smoothie for breakfast that had blueberries (blue), spinach (green), bananas (yellow), mango (orange), and strawberries (red). I prepared a salad for lunch that had purple cabbage, kale, maize, carrots, and red bell peppers. The supper consisted of roasted orange sweet potatoes, green broccoli, red tomatoes, purple grapes, and a side of yellow sautéed zucchini. I ate a red apple, orange baby carrots, and some blueberries as a snack.

I experimented with adding purple cabbage to my salad, which was something I had never done before. I liked the color and crunch it brought. I enjoyed how it inspired me to eat a range of nutritious items, and having such a vibrant plate seemed more interesting and aesthetically pleasing.

My relatives and friends have been supportive of my dietary restrictions; some have even remarked on how colorful my meals appear. They've been interested in the many combos I've been experimenting with.
I have been using MyFitnessPal (MFP) to track my food intake after meals. When I see portion sizes and food types in the app first, I pay closer attention to them. Planning has helped me avoid overeating and has increased my awareness of the nutritional balance I'm receiving.
