I overtrained

I just wanted to share my experience because some say that it's almost impossible for regular folks to overtrain.

I'm going to start off by saying that my job was probably the main culprit. I'm seriously considering quitting my job because it's inhumane.

I was probably being active close to 40h a week with everything considered.

Yesterday, I listened to a pro cyclist talk about his experience with overtraining and the symptoms he listed were similar to mine.

I think I'm dealing with stage 2 overtraining or what is known as sympathetic overtraining.

It feels like it's going to take months of focused recovery until I'm back to normal. It sucks but there's no pushing through this.

I've never beard of overtraining, thank you for sharing this I'll google the symptoms and look into itto my little knowledge, i know that one symptom of overtraining is going to sleep right after coming from a workout session (saw a guy on insta mention this and didn't know it's overtraining), the coach giving advice to the guy told him that he should stop working out for a min of 2 weeks and rest.
Best of luck buddy just like you work hard in the gym, take time for your overall body health and rest.

Thank you for the kind words. It made me smile.

I actually quit my job two days ago. I felt like it was my only option and that I would get a heart attack if I stayed.

I'm not exaggerating. My heart rate has been spiking during what used to be light to moderate exercise for me.

This overtraining thing affects my body in so many ways. I've had a cold about twice a month during the past 4 months and I'm not sleeping much at all. Every night, I wake up at 3AM.
