Hi everyone, I’m Izzy! I’ve been committed to Joining Ezra’s weight loss programs for a little over three months now, and I’m blown away by the difference I feel in my day-to-day life. Not only am I starting to feel confident again, but I also feel and look better than I have in years. I’m excited to continue my health journey, and I’m glad I found this community to start!

Izzy, it feels a bit like you are about to start trying to sell us "Ezra's" weight loss program. If I'm way off the mark....great, good for you. Welcome.5

Hello, and welcome, Izzy!
I'm glad to hear you've found something that works well for you, and that you're already getting positive results. That's great!
Maybe take a look around at threads here in the Community, join in if you have relevant ideas to add, post your own discussions if you have questions or want ideas for overcoming challenges to your progress. I've found that the more I put into the Community, the more I get out of it.
Best wishes for continuing success!Courtscan2 wrote: »Izzy, it feels a bit like you are about to start trying to sell us "Ezra's" weight loss program. If I'm way off the mark....great, good for you. Welcome.
It looks to be a fairly mainstream-ish medical weight loss program in the UK. I don't know lots about it, but on the surface it doesn't look like an MLM, scammer, or equivalent. Possible it's a little generic or one-size-fits most, but that's common to most plans, including some successful ones. If I'm correct, I'd hate to see the OP discouraged to post about it here. If anyone knows differently, like reasons why people should beware of it, that could be good info to share.2 -

Not sure if they're related in any way but both are selling people solutions with different supplemental approaches, you be the judge.

The one I knew of was this one, not the same at the superficial-look level: https://ezrahealth.co.uk/weight-loss/
My point is why do we want to suggest OP is some kind of skeezy marketer when we have no evidence of that, maybe discourage them from participating. Sure, if they are a skeezy marketer, discouraging that would be a good thing.
But if it's someone just following a program, feeling like they're getting good results, turning them off from participating here would be a shame . . . even if the program is iffy, as long as they're not selling. Heaven knows, there are a lot of people here doing iffy programs, diets, supplements. It's the selling that's the problem, or maybe even gee-whiz "only right way" boosting of the thing. This isn't obviously that.2 -
Well they are selling memberships to engage. With 66 patient reviews from "verified patients" which is a tell right there and they're all 5 star with not 1 bad review and they're all 1 sentence glowing reports that read like it was written by the same person, but I do agree with you on face value, sure, who wouldn't.0

Hi all!
Excuse me for coming off as I tried to sell you the program I am using...I wanted to introduce myself and what I am currently doing to spark conversation around the topic.3 -

You certainly did that! Welcome to the boards! 😂😂😂2 -
The point really isn't Ezra. The point is OP, and whether we have a basis for treating her as if she's repping Ezra, vs. just joining here for support.IsabelHart1 wrote: »Hi all!

Welcome!
I'm sorry you got such a suspicious and negative initial response. I hope you won't think that's the typical mood of the place, because IME, people here are nearly always supportive and helpful. (But maybe a little touchy sometimes because we do get some posts from people who's goal is to sell things!) Clearly, we don't even know what the Ezra program is!
Clearly, you're happy with what you've accomplished through that program. If you'd like discussion around the topic, maybe you could tell us some of the key points of the program that have been especially helpful for you? There are people here doing all different ways of losing weight, from quite strict formal eating programs to "just eat fewer calories". Some exercise, some don't, etc.
What has worked for you?
Me, I pretty much just reduced calories to lose, using MFP to count them, but made it a point to keep good nutrition in the picture: Enough protein and healthy fats, large amounts of veggies and fruit, mostly whole foods, and a few treats in there in reasonable portions/frequencies just for enjoyment. I was already eating fairly healthfully (vegetarian for 5+ years, not a fan of fast food or soda pop, etc.), and was already quite athletic while obese, so didn't change all that much about what I ate or how I exercised. I'm in year 9+ of maintenance now, after having been overweight/obese for around 30 years. So far, so good, I guess?
In your program, what things have you done that have been a help? Any speed bumps or roadblocks?
