Protein Shake help!

Hello everyone! This is my first time posting, at least, I think it is anyway. I've been going through my meal plan for the next, well, forever, and I'm trying to make sure I get enough protein.
Only thing is, my "perfect day" so far that I've planned only has 50% of the protein I should be getting. I want to add a protein shake, because I know that'll give me about 30 grams a protein with only like 150 calories, plus the calories I get from whatever I mix in with it. And I want to drink it -with- breakfast. Just to kick-start my day.
Is it okay to do this? Drink a protein shake AND eat breakfast? Especially for weight loss? I'm beginning to workout at home(with videos, like zumba and this kickboxing weightloss thing) and I'm going to try to walk every morning after breakfast.
My meal plan, is actually going to be the same thing everyday, which some people might find boring, but I don't. Especially if it's delicious! And to me, it's delicious. Background on it: I've really gotten into the Korean culture, food, and language, and at one point I cooked nothing but "Korean" food. My meal plan I have set up, is still kinda Korean, but more like, "Korean, in a more 'diet' way'. And I say Korean here, because I call myself Korean and everything I do Korean.. But everything that I eat is typical of Korea/Japan/China.
Breakfast: 1 c. Rice, 2 Hard-boiled Eggs, 1/4 c. Black Beans, and then a little bit of Sesame Oil and Sesame Seeds over rice and beans
Lunch: 1 c. Rice, 1/4 c. Black Beans, 1 c. Mixed Veggies, 1 Potato(boiled or steamed), and then some Sesame Oil and Seeds
Dinner: 1 c. Rice, 1 c. Mixed Veggies, 1/4 package Tofu(fried in Sesame Oil), 2 Hard-boiled Eggs, and then 1 TBSP Soy sauce, along with Sesame Oil and Seeds over rice/mixed veggies
Snacks will be various vegetables, cucumbers, carrots, etc.
For a person who is within their weight limits, this would give you a little bit more protein than you need(about 67.. grams? i think), but I personally was recommended 137. I don't want all of it, but I want more than half, and I think adding a protein shake with breakfast would give me a good amount of protein, but staying within my calorie limit, which, all of the above food, without snacks, leaves me with 553 calories, as well.
Would I benefit? What do you guys think?

Edit: I realized, I had put in exercises that day, as well, so I could see my 'perfect day' and as soon as I took them out, I no longer needed like 70 more grams of protein. But if I do exercise the way I want to, would it be good to add in the protein?

Hi there,
Definately add in the protein shake, hell add in 2 per day. I am on almost 200g protein a day, I am very active and lift weights, but protein seriously is your friend. Don't be afraid to 'eat too much' MFP sets their protein really low.
It won't make you put on weight if you aren't overeating in general. Go for it!!!0 -
Yep, I'd add the protein shake too...but then I love them! I make a smoothie with a cup of fresh squeezed OJ, a handful of spinach and two scoops of protein powder - give that a hard time in the blender and you will have a delicious, fluorescent green glass of deliciousness! Keeps you full for a while too. I have it first thing, then have "second breakfast" a couple of hours later when I'm hungry....then I don't seem to need anything 'til lunch.0

Awesome! Thank you guys! Are there any good brands at walmart I should look at? Or should I go for one at a health store?
I think one from walmart should be just fine, since I just want the protein, but I don't know.0
