My fitness pal calories burned are 3x that of my garmkn

Hi all

My Garmin is synced to myfitnesspal

Garmin says with my activity today I've burned circa 452 calories..

Myfitnesspal synced has the correct steps but it's showing 1200 calories burned.

Anyone any idea on why that might be the case?

Your calorie adjustment is not how many calories you've burned; it's normal and expected that the number shown in Garmin (your calories burned) vs in MFP (your calorie adjustment) are different, since these are not the same figure.

    Please see: https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032623871-What-is-the-Calorie-Adjustment-in-my-Exercise-Diary

Fair enough as an answer in the opposite case of active calories being higher in Garmin than the calorie adjustment MFP.
But not in this case, I really don't see any way active calories in Garmin could be 1/3 of MFP's calorie adjustment unless there is a glitch somewhere.

Depending on this member's Activity Level, time of day (like if they got up early and did a huge workout) and other factors, it's definitely possible that the predictive algorithm would assume a very high all-day activity level, which would then decrease and level out depending on their activity for the rest of the day.

Without more information it's impossible to say, but as far as "why are the numbers different?" my answer is accurate.
