Realistic ONE MONTH progress???

I'm a female, 27 years old, 5'6", 180lbs, realistically what can I achieve (losing weight and gaining strength) in one month with cardio and strength training 5 times a week and healthy eating??

I'm not looking for a quick fix, just wondering what is possible in one month of very hard work, I will obviously carry on to my goal after this one month, I have lost 80lbs over 2 years so I'm not in a rush.

10-20lbs if you follow a proper diet and log everything along with those workouts.

    1-2 pounds a week is pretty realistic...so maybe 4-10 pounds :)
    Good luck!

Definitely nowhere close to 20lbs. Between 5-8 is realistic for one month.

    Um.

    No.

OP, 4-8 pounds is a realistic loss goal.

If you look at the last two photos in my ticker, you can see what a month of only heavy lifting did for me.

I think it will be difficult to simultaneously gain strength AND lose weight. Personally, I aim for losing weight and at least maintain my strength. Building strength will come later when I'm done losing weight.

My goal is usually 4-5 a month. It was definitely less when I was doing more lifting vs cardio

Especially for someone new to lifting, losing weight and gaining strength are not at all incompatible.

    Yes.

She is 180lbs. Proper diet and exercise. I can lose 1.5-2lbs/wk and I am 11% body fat.

At 11% body fat, the body can only metabolize about half a pound of fat per week. You are losing significant lean body mass if you are losing that much at your current body fat percentage. Unless OP is morbidly obese, more than 2 pounds per week is unhealthy and will certainly result in loss of muscle mass.
