Yes it's a premium feature, in the US certainly.
Used to be free up to a few years ago.

In the US it is a premium feature, in Australia and the UK (not sure about the rest of the world) it is still free. It used to be free for everyone. It seems pretty poor form to take a free feature and make it paid rather than improve the paid offerings...

Don’t think it’s free in the uk 🤔 I have premium so can access it (I'm uk based) but I’m pretty sure other UK people lost it when it went premium?

TBH I don’t use it much as it’s as inaccurate as the rest of the database (packet sizes, recipes, quantities etc all change and the code isn’t linked to the manufacturer).

In another thread on the topic, it was suggested that I still have it in Aust, and the person from the UK I know who still has it, have because we've been members for many years and our countries have laws about changing T&Cs to remove stuff, so we're legacy, if you will. I'm going to ask the next new Aussie I see on here who isn't Premium whether they have it.

Ahh that’s interesting, yes it might well be legacy permission and not given to new joiners.

Still available in the free version here in the UK, but as @claireychn074 says above, it's of limited usefulness.
