Hi everyone, I am returning here and ready o work to reach my goals both for weight loss and for starting new, healthier lifestyle habits. I know that change never comes easy and hard work really does pay off. Since turning 40, I had found myself suddening gaining over 100 lbs and even my tastes had changed. I have intense sugar and salty cravings and could live off of anything sour. I'm not sure the cause of these changes but I need o find a way to change them out for some healthier ones. I'm also hoping I reach my goal weight of 145 lbs by year's end, which means I need to lose at least 80-85 lbs. My biggest setbacks have been the cravings and I have a habit of mindless eating and also severe bige eating that oftentimes leaves me sick afterwards. Does any of my fellow members have any helpful tips or tricks or suggestions that may help me during this new journey in my life? I could really use all the support and encouragement possible as I start off on this endeavor. Thank you all for your support and for being here for me throughout all this. You all help give me tr strength and the motivation to keep moving forward and never giving up.

The only way is to count those calories and make better food choices. You will likely need to become more active if you are trying to lose 8 lbs per month. I wouldn't put a date on getting down to 145lbs. That makes the process that much more stressful and likely to fall apart. You are probably around the same weight as me. So if you would like a buddy feel free to join my community. I started at 238.4 and am at 224.6 as of this morning. so I have lost 13.8lbs. But 10 pounds was in the first two weeks. I lost 2 pounds the second week and officially (as of yesterday) I had only lost 12.6lbs. which was 0.4 for the week. This is why I suggest not putting a date on your goal. You, we, will get there when we get there and be healthy and happy while doing it.
