First off, welcome to the forums, @lori5357 !

Daily protein shakes can help reach protein goals, and there's nothing inherently wrong with using them. However, if you can get your protein from normal food instead, that option will include lots of vitamins and minerals and more which help with overall nutrition.

This thread contains a large listing of various foods, to include their protein and fiber content:

Pick a few which appeal to you and try to include them a few times per week. Sometimes this will be during regular meals, and other times you can increase your protein during the day by adding small smidgeons of protein here and there...a bite here, swapping an ingredient there. Little bits add up to a surprising amount during a day.

I'll leave you with one final thought: your protein goal is just that, a goal. It is not a hard and fast "reach this or suffer the consequences" situation. Some days you will naturally have higher protein totals, some days lower; it's your long-term average which matters, not any single day.

    Are you a bari person?
I incorporate premier protein in my morning breakfast through overnight oats, yogurt, sugar free pudding, and hot cereals. I also incorporate flax and chia seed to help with the protein and fiber intake. Protein granola is also good. Honeysuckle turkey cutlets are the bomb. I use almond milk unsweetened vanilla is about 35 cal a serving. You can add a little premier protein in your coffee. You can use different flavors to change it up. If you’re not a protein shake person and struggle to get protein . Try clear protein. Seeq has a good one you can add into your water intake. I also try to make sure I have a high protein source with every meal. Instant pot is my favorite. Freekah is a green wheat duram grain that is so good. It has the nuttiness of quinoa with the protein just a little bit different texture. You can add beef broth protein to your stocks and sauces as well.

I relied on protein bars for a while. It helped me until I found ways to get plenty of protein from food.
