    we need WAY more information.

Current weight and height? Age? Current activity and fitness level? Location?

... would you like to tell us the weight you are and your goal, or are we just guessing?

Generically, in the long run, 150 minutes per week of moderate intensity cardio, or 75 minutes of higher intensity cardio, or a proportional combination and ideally spread the cardio over at least 5 days of the week; plus at least 2 days a week of exercise that challenges your current strength.

If a beginner, work your way up to that gradually so as not to be over-fatigued.

Which cardio? Anything you personally find fun, or at least tolerable and practical.

What kind of strength challenge? Weight lifting is the most efficient, but anything that takes strength and is manageably challenging could work. Bodyweight exercises, resistance bands and that sort of thing are mainstream options for beginners, too, and fairly efficient.

How am I being so definite when everyone else wants to know more about you and your goals? (They're right to want to know that, BTW. ;) )

Remember, I started with the word "generically". What I typed right after that was the standard advice from most mainstream health experts - CDC, NHS, WHO, etc. - about amounts to do for basic health and fitness.

Yup, we could give you more nuanced, personalized advice if we knew more about you.

The best work out is the one that you like (or at least don't hate), because that will be the one you do.

As to goal, that depends on what the goal is. My current goal is a race, I have to go running sometimes to achieve that :)
