    I'm sorry, but I think you're going to need to weigh your pesarattu on a food scale to know for sure. We don't know whether your pesarattu are home-made therefore maybe variable in size, or some kind of standard product from a store that's pretty close to all one size . . . and more importantly, you haven't even mentioned the diameter of the pesarattu, so it would be hard for anyone to guess, I think.

    There are many different entries in the MFP food database for pesarattu, with calorie estimates ranging from around 90 calories to 200+. If you don't have a better idea what to pick from the list there by brand or something, maybe just use a middling- to middling-high calorie one? You've at least seen the pesarattu you ate, which we haven't, and you may even have some idea of the ingredients, how much oil if any it was used to cook it, etc. You can probably guess better than we can.

    I can’t wait to try this.

    We love socca, which is made almost the same way but with garbanzo flour. I’m sure we’ll like this, too.

    Hi Manasa! I weigh my pesalu before soaking and I know (through experience) how many pesaratlu I can make from, say 100g of them. I then add how much oil I use and any pickles or upma that I have with it.
