Steps not syncing from Google Fit

Hi there! I can't get Google Fit to transfer my steps over. I've done everything I can think of and every suggestion I can find online... I had it all set up and working a year ago, but haven't used it for a while. It's all linked... so should be working, but alas, nope...

My Apple Watch sends the steps over then at 12.00am it wipes half the streps away so instead of 12.500 steps it now shows 6500 .
