Discrepancy between app and website

Hey Y'all,

I use both MFP both via their app on my phone and their website. Today's entry is completed. It appears on the app but not on the website that I access via a laptop. What gives?

    When does the app say - at the bottom of the "More" menu - your last sync was?

    The last sync was 2 minutes ago. What I put into the food log yesterday for today’s meals via my laptop are not appearing on the app on my phone.

    Unfortunately, I think that means the right answer will be to reach out to the MFP support team via the help function, open up a problem ticket.

    They may tell you to power cycle both devices, check the internet connections, maybe uninstall/reinstall the phone app, and other things like that that you've probably already tried. I assume you're 100% confident from looking at other data that the same ID is signed in on both devices, or you wouldn't be asking.

    Interacting with MFP support can be tedious, but I doubt there's another realistic step to take at this point. I'm sorry.

    I had a similar issue last week, where app and website were not in sync. I just figured I'd need to live with it, and within a week the issue resolved itself without me doing anything more than power cycling both my phone and my laptop (done for unrelated reasons, just happened to occur during this timeframe).

    I've power cycled both devices, cleared caches, etc and the app is not syncing to the webpage. I've got the premium membership and this is super frustrating that I can't use the platform as I intended.

    Understandable!

    But I think you've unfortunately found some kind of software bug that's affecting you, but isn't universal among MFP users, as can happen with most any software.

    I usually log on the app side, and I do see those foods for today on the web side. Because of your post, I tried logging something on the web side, then hit sync on the app side (which I know you've done, but I needed to), and the item I'd logged on the web showed up on the app. I have premium, and the Android app. Apple may be different, but I'd expect more outcry if it was a widespread problem on that platform. If I had an Apple, I'd try it there, but I don't/won't own one.

    You could try giving it a day or two because sometimes these kinds of things can work themselves out, but other than that, the Help function to contact MFP support would be the way to go.

    P.S. Since it sounds like you're new here, I hope you're realizing that by posting in this part of the Community, you're just talking to other MFP users with no more power over the software than you have yourself, though maybe a bit more experience here, people like me and Nossmf.

    The MFP staff don't read all the posts in the Community . . . it would be kind of ridiculous for them to do so, as there are lots daily, and it's rare for them to be about software bugs.

    The MFP staff do read the "Feature Suggestions and Ideas" section of the Community, and usually the "MyFitnessPal Tech Support Questions" even though the latter is intended for user-to-user technical how-to type help. Even in those areas, they will suggest we contact MFP Support through the Help function for one-off bug-type problems.

    It's resolved and I'm an idiot. On the app, I somehow skipped a day...
