Back to become a Baddie.

Just kidding, I’m already a baddie (haha jk) But I’m back! It’s been a long 6 months. My husband and I went on a cruise at the end of July and the day after we got back he had a seizure and they found a large mass on his brain. It’s a large (cancerous) tumor on his left frontal lobe. He then he a brain bleed after his biopsy surgery and had to be airlifted back to the hospital that was 3 hours away from our house in Melbourne FL. He had to relearn how to talk after the brain bleed and it was a rough few months. He then went through 30 rounds of brain radiation and is now on chemo for the next year…. So I’ve spent the past 6 months taking care of him and focusing on him and being the loving wife I am, I also resigned from teaching to be there for him 24/7…. But now that he is doing better. I am going to start working on me again (but not go back to teaching, I found a remote job so I can still be there for him). I’ve been in a horrible depression, because the doctors said brain cancer isn’t curable, the treatment is to prolong his life. However, I know God can do anything and I know miracles still happen. It just doesn’t make the fears go away because he’s my best friend and love of my life. But I decided I need to also take care of me so I can be my happiest and best version of myself for him. ❤️❤️2oid9g78np8r.jpeg

    Hey @AlyssaP1987

Sorry to hear that your life has been completly changed in the last few months, but glad to see that you are now looking into self care more as you have the time. It's easy to get swallowed up with helping the others, but without looking out for ourselves we really can't do that very well.

Keep up the positive energy and keep moving forward. I've seen your posts around the community in the past, and you always seemed to have that quality about you.
