Go into Goals and do the guided set-up where you give your age, height, weight, activity level outside of deliberate exercise, and goal (to lose, maintain or gain). To lose 1 lb. a week, you need to eat an average of 500 calories a day less than maintenance. Easiest is to let the app figure it out for you. Then be as consistent as possible for 4-6 weeks and see how you do.3
