Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hello everyone, I'm new here.
I have been suffering with a trapped nerve in my lower back, I have recently found out that is is no longer trapped, and I am able too start getting back into exercise, I'm wondering if anyone can help with ideas on setting up a routine for a gym session what would help increase lower back strength, without the risk of antagonising past health issues, as before it got that bad 1 bounce on a trampoline put me in hospital for over a week. But as an insight too the strength of my back, coughing standing up causes my back too tense up which also weakens my legs and sneezing is an all time worst fear at the moment.

have you talked to your doctor about seeing a physical therapist? That way you can have someone show you what exercises to do and how to properly do them.

I’d look into bodyweight moves only at first. If you were in the hospital, I’m assuming they sent a physical therapist to consult with you?
