Breastfeeding while losing weight

Hey guys,
I am new to this world of exclusivity breastfeeding while trying to loose weight. I’ve always been active and in shape and have had no issue with gaining weight until just before I got pregnant. I gained 55lbs over the duration and can’t seem to be able to loose it. It’s been almost four months since I’ve have my kid and have been eating clean and trying to stay active but I’ve only been able to loose a couple pounds.
Does anybody have any suggestions or tips on how to safely loose weight while maintaining a good milk supply? I’d love to hear your success stories as well.

I taught the Bradley Method of natural childbirth for over 30 years, which included extensive breastfeeding education. Breastfeeding only burns 200-300 calories per day, not higher as often suggested. With that being the case, it is easy to not lose weight. It does take 9 months to put on the weight and a number of months to take it off. The extra fat is for breastfeeding, but we still have to do some exercise and watch what we eat. Also, be sure to drink a lot of water, which is most important for your milk supply. I hope this helps. I gained 40-50 pounds with each of four pregnancies and it took 6 months to take it off each time.1
