Hi all! I'm new to the world of air fryers and I'm struggling to get started. Can anyone recommend healthy air fryer things to cook? I'd especially love to hear about anything good anyone has put in the air fryer from the myfitnesspal recipes section.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Kabobs
Ingredients Needed:
Boneless chicken breast
Veggies
Spices Needed:
Olive oil – 3 tbsp
Garlic powder – 1 tsp
Onion powder – 1 tsp
Paprika – 1 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl combine the olive oil and spices; set aside.
Use a cutting board and knife to cut the chicken into chunks approximately two inches in size. Put the chicken pieces into the seasoning bowl, stir to coat and set aside to marinate while you prepare vegetables by cutting them into pieces of about the same size as the chicken. (Vegetables used can vary; we include red bell pepper, zucchini slices, onion, pineapple chunks, cherry tomatoes and mushroom slices.)
When everything is ready, assemble the kabobs by spearing chicken piece and vegetables in random order, ensuring each kabob has approximately the same amount of each ingredient. If using wooden skewers, soak in water for 20 minutes before use; do NOT use plastic skewers! (We use metal chopsticks to good effect.) Arrange the skewers on the air fryer baking tray (we used parchment paper for easier cleanup).
Cook at 400 for 10 minutes. If using metal skewers, grip on one end with an oven mitt and use a fork to slide the food off the skewer onto a plate before eating; wooden skewers can be picked up by hand and the food nibbled directly off.

Taquitos
Ingredients Needed:
Canned chicken shreds – 3 cans
Salsa – 1 cup
Tortillas – one dozen
Shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican) – 1 cup
Olive oil – 2 tbsp
Spices Needed:
Chili powder – 1 tsp
Ground cumin – 1/2 tsp
Paprika – 1 tsp
Instructions:
Warm tortillas in microwave on high for 30 seconds or in air fryer at 400 for 5 minutes. This makes them pliable and less likely to break when folding at a later step.
Mix chicken, salsa, and seasonings. Spread a portion of the mixture onto each tortilla, adding a little cheese before wrapping. (Optional: use toothpicks to keep in shape.) Place each filled tortilla into the air fryer basket, seam side down if not using toothpicks. Brush each taquito with oil to encourage browning.
Cook for 7 minutes at 400 degrees, flip and brush with more oil, cook for an additional 7 minutes at 400 degrees.
Serve immediately with more salsa for dipping.0 -
