Search for food measured by weight

A lot of foods are measured in cups, teaspoons, fluid ounces, etc. I use a scale to weigh a lot of my food, and sometimes it's difficult to find a food that is measured in ounces or grams. It would be nice if I could specify in my search that I'm looking for a food that is measured by weight.

You can. Put in “oats 100g” and the entries will come up which use grams. It’s still not perfect as the entries vary but I use that to search for all food I input.

In addition to that, it's worth noting that quite a few foods that have cups as the default measure, especially foods that are MFP "best match" foods, have grams in the serving-size drop down. Once a person logs those, they're in recent/frequent foods defaulting to grams. Sometimes it's 100g rather than 1g, but it's easy to use (say) 0.35 servings of a 100g serving size, if I ate 35g.

To be clear: I'm not arguing with your suggestion of a feature. I'm offering some information that might help with workarounds unless/until there's a feature.
