Getting in Shape for My Wedding: A Journey, Not a Crash Course

So, I’m officially in wedding prep mode—but instead of focusing on flowers and seating charts, I’m channeling my energy into feeling my best for the big day. Not just for the photos, but for me.
I’ve been on a fitness journey already (130 lbs down and counting!), but with the wedding ahead, I’m tightening things up. Not with crash diets or extreme workouts, but with consistency, balance, and a game plan that actually works.
My Approach:
✔ Sustainable Choices – No starvation or quick fixes. I’m focusing on high-protein, low-carb meals that keep me full and fueled.
✔ Structured Workouts – Strength training, walks, and movement I enjoy so I stay consistent.
✔ Accountability & Tracking – Logging meals, tracking progress, and staying mindful of my goals without obsessing over the scale.
✔ Grace Over Perfection – Life happens. If I have a day that doesn’t go as planned? I adjust and keep it moving.
My Goal:
I want to feel strong, confident, and energized walking down the aisle—not drained from some miserable crash diet.
If you’re also on a fitness journey leading up to a big event, let’s cheer each other on! What’s working for you?

That sounds pretty perfect. I opened your post with trepidation, because it's super common to see people here planning to lose some very large amount of weight in a super short period of time before their wedding. You're obviously more tuned in than that, and that's a wonderful thing.
Congratulations on your amazing results so far, and best wishes for continuing progress up to your wedding and the decades of happy marriage beyond!2
