Back home from camping. I looked and the second place rider did another ride. Now I’m only 27.18 miles ahead. Tomorrow I can start riding again.

My good day turned out to be not so good in the evening when I suddenly got raging diarrhoea! I have no idea where that came from.
Hope I can sleep it off.

Feel better Heather..
Laundry dried..And shower done.. back to the grind tomorrow.1 -
Did an Essentials Pilates DVD then walked the parking lots of some of the businesses by the condo. Was only out for an hour but I got in over 7,000 steps. Then met a friend of mine from college for lunch. The plan for tomorrow is to do a Joyce Vidral Upper ad Lower Body DVD.
M – hope you find your orthotic
Hope alls OK with Annie
kylia- does MFP change your protein goals? I’ve never noticed mine changing, but if it does have to do with exercise, maybe it’s because I don’t add in my exercise calories. Most days my carbs are high, but I know that that’s because I love my fruit (just had a banana)
Margaret – is there a site that I can link to about the weight loss drugs? The boyfriend (of a lot of years) of the friend I met today is really into health so I was surprised to find out that he’s taking Ozempic. Not that he’s very overweight. I have a feeling he doesn’t know about the effect it can have on your bones and loss of muscle. I would think he’d be especially interested in about the bones since he has had some injuries on his motorcycle. As a matter of fact, he’s heading up to Daytona for bike weeks
Rita – happy early birthday
At lunch today just had a fish sandwich and only water to drink.
Remember my friend down here who was going to have a stent put into his esophagus? Well, I called his wife today to see how the surgery went. Seems he came home from the hosp that day. But I could hear in her voice that she’s extremely worried. Seems now he has jaundice. His eyes are yellow and so is his skin. Of course, it’s still hard for him to eat. I’ll give her a call maybe in the middle of next week.

Lisa - I did watch Scamanda. Where is the Ruby Franke documentary aired?
Barbie - thank you so much for A new month!
Heather - I am Ok, thanks for asking.
I’ve been reading along but not taking notes. I’ve had a niggling headache most of the weekend.
I didn’t do a whole lot except watch tv/netflix. I did finish these two ceramics pieces yesterday. I had just a bit on each to complete and I wanted to get them finished.
I’m looking forward to a bath tonight and bed.

My day was going great until my walking friend phoned from my driveway at 11:20 to ask if I was OK since I was supposed to meet her at 11 for a walk. We ended up going on a great walk with Annie.

Well I have bought the Amtrak tickets. Then I saw my old roommate on my feed and looked to see where her comedy shows were, and her schedule. She will be on the mainland at Mt Vernon so I booked a front seat for the 21st of this month! Yay! It will be so great to see her! Its been over forty years!

Monday ... back to work. Busy as usual ... so much to do.
But I got out for a walk at lunch.
And I climbed 25 flights of 20 steps, up and down, including landings.
And I walked an additional 4000 steps to get my steps over 10,000 steps.
When I got home, I planted three proteas, took Rhody for a walk, and brought a whole pile of pillow cases in off the line. Next I'll be doing groceries.
About the pillow cases ... I have been looking through our bedding, the bedding we've been hauling around since we got married. As a part of that, I pulled out all our thousands of pillow cases!! Not quite thousands, but it started to feel like it.
Some are in pretty good shape but some had developed that oily feel. You know when dish towels go kind of oily and start smelling funny even though they've been washed? That's how some of the pillow cases had gone.
I had solved the dish towel problem a number of years ago, but had to google it again to remind myself how it's done.
Went through the process over the weekend with the pillow cases ... and they're good! They've got a much better look and feel to them.
Oh, I also found my carbon fibre insoles! They were in a basket with seeds and plant stuff. Seems like a logical place to keep them!!
Still looking for the orthotics.

I record everything in an Excel spreadsheet full of formulas.
I also record exercise here in MFP.
And Strava records a lot for me and gives me a lot of stats.
I've started using Google Fit in the last couple weeks and I'm debating if I like it or not.

Good Monday,
Yesterday was not a good step days, but did get active minutes and exercise. Got some home paperwork done, breakfast, plants watered. Spent 8 hours doing work stuffs, but feeling pretty good about that. Still have the migraine from yesterday. Thought sleep would help, but no. Oh well, has been awhile since one lasted this long. I will survive.
Debbie Yes, Fitbit will figure the estimates for week, month, or year. Just change your view on individual items.
Machka How did DH do with you out of house today? Mine would have been doing things he shouldn't. Then again I swear on most days he is a man-toddler (temper tantrums included). It does look like we got lucky with his Achilles. Best I can tell from MRI is severe strain, so most likely PT. Will know more this week.
Rebecca and Barbie Yay for both of you!
I did read yesterday......but was concentrating on work stuffs. Did visit with a friend yesterday for an hour, was pleasant.
Just saw wildfires in NC. Hope our NC ladies aren't affected and remain safe.
Hugs for those needed.
Happy Birthday, Rita!
Pride in those taking big steps in adventures!
Grateful for each and every one of you!
Time to walk even though really don't want to....yes, whining.....I will feel better once done!
Much love,
Kylia in Ohio

I've been working at work (mostly) for the past couple weeks. And yes, he is doing things he shouldn't.
We have his next appointment on Wednesday and we'll see what has happened. I don't have particularly high hopes, but who knows. He feels limited pain in his left leg because of the brain injury, and keeps telling me that he has no pain in his Achilles tendon, so it must be better.
A couple small problems with working from home all the time ...
- I feel like I'm nagging because I can see what he's doing.
- I end up working till midnight because there's so much work to be done and I figure I'm just going to get a little more done and a little more done.

Nice to see you Tracey! I hope your headache clears up.
I finished the first edit this morning, so now I have to transfer everything into book format. The ending needs a few more words, so I will do that at the end.
Another v cold, frosty night, and a glorious day. The sun has been beating into my bedroom. I've got a fresh set of clothes on to celebrate the 'spring', and have a pile for the laundry.
Cleaner comes today. Everything looks dusty and tired in the sunshine. The window cleaner was due today, and our windows are filthy. We had some sea fog for several days last week, and they are covered in salt. Normally the boss rings the day before to say the guy's coming, but he didn't yesterday, and he hasn't come. Maybe next Monday. It's depressing looking out at the garden through a white mist!
He comes every couple of months.
Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx5 -

Morning, y'all, from the maybe-spring of the Arkansas River Valley,
Don't know how long it will stay this way, but cool nights and warm days have everything here budding out FAR too early. Corey's peach tree, even my fig tree (it's four years old and has never known what the season was 😶😂😉). The redbud hasn't yet shown buds, which is a sign that the last frost is yet to come. We'll see. Rain tomorrow, if the weather weasels are correct.
My blue hyacinths are also up, and the daffs are up with a few blooms on them, too! I'll go out once it warms a bit today and take a few pics.
More adventures in house renovation:While Corey was working on the bathroom floor (too small for two people to work), I moved everything I could from the storage room (on the flip side of the bathroom wall) into the spare bedroom, with my elliptical. All that's left on the little bathroom is the trim, which I can certainly do, but haven't told him yet that I will. Need to think about it before I jump in. It's his least favorite job, I know.
The next job is to finish fixing the floors and walls of the storage room (including the flip side of the just-built bathroom wall) and its closet, paint it, and put new flooring down. We put carpet tile down in our bedroom, and may well go with it again - I can get a low-pile 24x24" peel-and-stick carpet for about half the price of the vinyl plank flooring, and we both prefer carpet in the bedrooms.
Corey doesn't want to cover the old parquet floor in the hall and the spare bedroom, and I would really like to, but that's a future argument. It's a decorative thing, not a functional thing, so it's definitely not necessary. Just... aesthetically pleasing. I don't mind doing the carpet tile myself, and indeed did the work in our bedroom on it. Hmmm... Have to think about it.
The usual Monday chores in sight to accomplish this morning... washer's going, dishwasher to unload, sheets and rugs to wash, too. Going through the storage room netted a whole trunk full of things to donate, as well. Might try to add to that today. Need to get a script written out, as well. Oh - and first, exercise!
Not as busy as Terri - my stars, woman! But, it's time to get stuff done!
Hope all the headaches and migraines and stomach woes subside... many hugs, distributed equally,
With love,
Lisa in AR5 -
Rita Happy Birthday :flowerforyou:
Michele When I looked up cons on Google the AI pointed out that it may cause muscle loss. In the interview this was discussed too. That is why unfortunately when people go off it they regain and more because muscle helps keep glucose in check and muscle also helps keep your bones strong. They work hand in hand. I am surprised if he is so health conscious he would use that drug. A clip was shown of a woman who was young and really not overweight who used ozempic to get herself thinner. She lost major bone density. Fortunately she is young enough and the damage was caught that she can regain some on her bone strength. Being close to seventy it is much more difficult to rebuild muscle and bone for me. I lost my weight by diet, stress management , better sleep in order to reduce my high insulin resistance. I know now that it was high stress, bad diet (too much high processed food) poor sleep that packed on the pounds for me. As a good side effects I am noticing my teeth stain less and gum disease is better in check.
I went to a wonderful concert with a church friend yesterday...One of my fellow choir member is in another choir. It was titled Illuminate my Soul. It was food for my soul...ethereal.5 -

Good morning, all!
What a week last week was....
While the loss of our Libby was still fresh to us, I ended up with Covid on Monday - which is why I haven't posted since then. I have been down and out until basically yesterday. I didn't want to move. I don't know if it was all Covid, but I was so wrung out, so tired. I didn't have a bad cough, but my sinuses were so plugged and swollen. With all my health concerns, they immediately put me on Paxlovid. And while, I "think" it helped, it left me with THE WORST taste in my mouth ever!! BLAH!! NOTHING tasted good - at all. Everything tasted bitter.
Did a short walk this morning, and will do another at lunch time. Back to tracking everything again also.
Hubby and I have decided at the end of the month, we are going to take a short weekend trip up to West Virginia and stay in some cabins that I found just for a chill weekend. I love a fire and they have fire places in the cabins. We are still close to where we usually go ride the side by sides, and can go visit a few friends if we want to while there.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

MFP can give you weekly, yearly, monthly, or since you joined. That is what I used. On that note, I’ve gone up since last month. Not happy about that but I can change. Just have to take the first step.
