Why tomorrow? Just because Monday is how their calendar starts, makes it easier on me to stay on track I guess. Anyway, any tips, hints, or anything else for me?
BTW, I already hate Shaun T and I haven't even started yet. haha

I have the Insanity disks sitting away in my closet. Sometimes I pull them out if I want a very good workout, but frankly I just don't think i'm fit enough for them! I tried to do it, and since I do have knee pain, it made it worse.
My tip would be that if you feel like you need to stop, stop, and take a rest.0 -
just keep moving, even if you're not keeping up with the video by a fraction, push yourself to the limit and just keep moving.0

1. You will feel pathetic at first. It's okay, we all are.
2. The Fit Test will nearly kill you, you might puke, and you might cry thinking about the first real workout the next day. Do it anyway.
3. You will not be able to keep up with the people in the video. Even if you have to take a million breaks and you're going at "warm up" pace the whole time, you're still doing it, and that's what matters. Listen to the friendly message at the bottom of the screen that tells you to rest when needed and go at your own pace.
4. Shaun T is actually a great motivator. When he says "look at me, I'm right here with you," stare into his eyes and power through with the intensity of a billion suns.
5. Listen to his guidance when it comes to breathing, it helps a lot. He'll tell you "exhale when the knee comes up" and it seems like hyperventilation at first, but once you get the hang of it, it really keeps you going.
6. Don't pause the video to rest (my exception is that I pause at every break and give myself an extra 30 seconds because my heart rate doesn't come down enough in 30 seconds to recover at all). If you pause in the middle, you're likely to spend more time resting than you need. Just stand up/go into child's pose, take a couple of nice deep breaths, and get back into it.
7. You will probably gain a couple of pounds during the first week or two because your muscles are retaining water. It's normal.
8. Do the stretches. They are important. Then, stretch more after the stretching is over. He doesn't stretch you enough IMO.
9. Form over speed. Shaun T reiterates this over and over. If you are going at lightning speed with ****ty form, you're just going to hurt yourself. It's better to go slow and do it right than to go fast and do it wrong.
10. Increase your calorie intake to match what you're doing. I typically burn (according to my HRM) 350-500 calories per workout depending on which one it is, and I'm not very tall or very heavy. You will feel ****ty if you eat at the same level you did when you were working out less intensely.

Don't weigh yourself!0

Oh, and take before pictures from front, side, and back. Also take measurements. Your weight may not change much, but your body will!0
