Though my wife loves the sound of surf, am I the only person for whom the rise/fall of the sound level as the waves crash prevents me from truly relaxing? Don't I prefer a steady sound, like a rainstorm or a babbling brook?

Wouldn't I much rather have a relaxing evening with your wife than with you, Mr. Babbling???

how about a rabble of babbling bubbly babbies?

Or a babbling bumbling band of baboons?

Do you mean what state or at work? Did you plan your next trip to DFW?

Aren't I heading home from SAN tomorrow? Aren't my next 3 trips to LAS, LAX and LAS - in that order?

Is it a very happy Friday?

While I was in Atlanta last year for a job, would you be surprised to find out i don't travel there very often?

Do you think it's a Happy Friday for me since I'm heading home today?

@nossmf , can you please elaborate as to whether you mean you don’t like ocean sounds as white noise when you sleep or if being within hearing distance of the ocean makes you the opposite of relaxed?

The first option…who gets aggravated by the sound of ocean waves while awake?

Does it make me strange that the sounds of waves, a babbling brook, or rainfall don't ever sound good?

Do they give you the urge to visit the bathroom?

Or maybe they're just too distracting?

What's too distracting? What were we talking about again?

In this thread, isn't it at least 50/50 that we're talking about coffee?

    Did somebody say 'coffee'?

IIs It a funny coincidence that I'm having an evening coffee right now?

Why do I have the feeling this "coincidence" occurs quite frequently with members of this thread?

Should we list our favorite ways to order/make coffee?

Are you intentionally trying to leave out @nossmf ?

Aren't I imagining that @nossmf could say something like "I prefer my Jolt™ Cola straight up or neat"?
Or would he say instead "I prefer to take my caffeine pill with pure H₂O"?

How about a coffee cake or tirimisu?

How excited am I that my daughter came this weekend and showed me how to use my quick cold-brew that's been in a back cabinet for 6 months since i bought it because i couldn't figure out how to use it? Can you imagine me drinking iced coffee with 1% milk all summer long?
