Steps as burned calories

Hi,

I have a Garmin watch that beautifully connects with MFP to provide the count of the calories burned through various exercises. However, step count is not included in the calories earned, especially when I walk 15km or more a day. Am I missing something? Thank you.

If your steps are being recorded but you're not receiving a calorie adjustment, chances are the feature is working correctly, but there needs to be some explanation as to how that data is being calculated. If stuff isn't syncing over, however, that's absolutely a problem. Impossible to say without looking at the data.

Why do you think your walks aren't being counted? To be clear: those 15km, are those actual exercise sessions you're recording with your watch, or simply steps outside of exercise sessions?

If you show us screenshots of what you're seeing in the MFP app and Garmin Connect app, we might be able to verify whether or not there is an issue.

    Many thanks for your messages.

My question is about steps, not walking, not a recorded exercise.

I attach 2 screenshots from Garmin and MFP of the same day.

    Many thanks for your help.

So actually despite what you said before, you do have some other exercises logged and that is a contributing factor to what you are seeing. I'm very confident there is nothing incorrect going on here, but rather that some explanation as to how the calorie adjustment feature works is in order.
