After 45 I've been struggling with my weight. I tore my meniscus and waiting for a surgery date. I'm trying to use Fitness Pal to be mindful of everything I eat. I know my weight gain did not happen over night so I can't lose it over night. It's is really difficult especially with my knee injured. Just hoping for support.

I was born disabled. So my ability to exercise is limited. I can tell you that it is possible to lose weight without being able to do cardio and weight lifting. I do encourage you to move as much as you can. But a calorie deficit is what is important. You can even eat well. It just depends on your food choices. Don't worry about learning everything at once. You will eventually build your knowledge.
