Macro Accuracy + Client Logs + Meal Sharing

Hi,

I just wrapped up running a nutrition challenge at my gym and I've gotten a lot of feedback that many really got a lot out of the challenge but did not like using MyFitnessPal due to logging and macro inaccuracy. Going into the challenge, we went with this app because it's the most widely used, but I am concerned by some of the macro and calorie discrepancies, even in items that have the green check mark. How are these verified?

It was frustrating for those who did not want to pay for Premium (understandably) because they paid to participate in the challenge. I'm now finding myself digging into food entries more than ever to better understand their frustrations.

I am a nutrition coach so part of my job is to review client logs. I can't see macros on the app on my phone and this is extremely frustrating. I have to be in front of my computer in order to look at macro compliance. In this day and age, being on the go and not in front of a computer is pretty common. I would love to have the ability to see macros from my phone for clients who have diary sharing turned on.

Additionally, I tried to help a few folks with meals out and logged a meal for them and shared it and they were never able to find it even though I took all of the necessary steps. Is this a bug?

I'm not sure if Cronometer is any better, but I've heard of many coaches I'm connected with making the switch. Anyone have any similar thoughts on any of the above or are most people pretty happy with the app overall, as well as the macro and calorie accuracy of food entries in the app?

Thank you,
Sydney

mfp database is user data from around the world. it is up to the user to verify the selection they are making is accurate or enter the food in the database themselves. Different countries have different laws on what is listed on the food label so what you are requesting is simply unreasonable.
