Base calories

Hi does anyone know why when I updated my weight the other day my base calories went higher !!! I was on 1410 but they went 1630 ??? I had lost 3 lb .....

the formula mfp uses has changed. but without knowing your stats and how much weight you wanted to lose per week, it would be impossible for anyone to crunch numbers to verify that it is reasonable.

For each named activity level the estimates increased by 0.15 * BMR to 0.2 * BMR
Sedentary / lowest activity level increased by 0.15. From 1.25 it went to 1.4
The rest went up by 0.2
If my BMR was 1000 per Mifflin, the estimate would increase by 150 to 200 Cal
For reference, the average BMR for females is about 1410. For males just under 1700 (Australian numbers)
