There are people here who do the carnivore diet. You simply need to try it and see if it suits you. The only thing that makes a 'diet' work is creating a calorie deficit. So it's more about finding away to eat and exercise that you can sustain rather than applying a label to how you eat.
Good luck!

If it just for weight loss, then you'll probably crash and burn, if it's for health, then that would make more sense considering the vast majority of people that are on carnivore do it for that, and where weight loss is not very high on the list, actually quite far down the queue.

When I followed Carnivore for about four months last year, I felt great. My appetite was reduced, my skin improved, and I lost about ten pounds. I was not counting calories at that time. I've not actively counted for the last few years.
I stopped following the diet and started eating junk and drinking alcohol... and now I'm fat, almost at my heaviest when I started MFP in 2011. Now I'm trying to get back on the wagon, exercise, eat carnivore, AND keep my food diary.I am in a carnivore group on Facebook and there are plenty of people who complain about not losing weight. It's because they are eating too many calories.

Check out this group. It is a fairly active group of low carb, keto, and carnivore people.

We have for 5 months. I lost 25 pounds; my husband lost 20. Each of us has about 5 pounds yet to lose. We have zero bloating. He had horrible inflammation due to bad knees and shoulders that completely disappeared no longer taking medication for it. We feel amazing, and to be honest we don't often crave a food it's more a thought that comes and goes just as fast.

I am on my third day of the Carnivore diet. I have learned so much about it on Youtube. So many doctor's to help support this diet change. I'm 77 years old and looking to adapt a new life style that will help with my health issues and weight. I feel pretty confident about this new direction for me.

I would never commit to eating carnivore forever, but I do it in cycles sometimes, say 6 weeks of it every few months.
I've found it to be...boring but effective? When I'm on it, I predictably lose a bunch of water weight, think about food way less often, and feel a little more energetic.
I think the benefits aren't necessarily bc you're eliminating anything "bad" from your diet (I think fruit is good for you) but bc when you restrict your macros to one category of food, you're at least getting ENOUGH of that food group's nutrients for a while. If you feel better on carnivore, you probably werent getting enough fat, protein, iron, B vitamins, etc before
