Hey There!

Hi everyone! Not exactly new to MFP but have never really delved into the app. I'm here with a goal to become healthier and hopefully feel much better about my appearance. I'm embracing a "less meat" way of eating and plan to get more physically active. Best wishes to everyone else on your own journeys!

Hello, and welcome!
As you move in the "less meat" direction, I hope you're thinking in terms of what nutrition you might need that requires a little extra attention when not eating meat.
Don't worry, I'm not one of those meat eaters who thinks people don't get enough protein when not eating as much (or any) meat. I've been vegetarian for over 50 years, and am concerned about encouraging people to get really good nutrition with less meat in the picture. It's very achievable, but there are some things to monitor until good patterns are in place. Protein is the one omnivores always seem to bring up, but B-12 and some other micronutrients can fall a bit short, too.
