Can I save a food like a Smoothie or a Salad with many ingredients?

I eat a lot of salad and I put a lot of ingredients into my salad to keep it from getting too boring. I know that once an item is added to fitness pal it remains in the diary, BUT, it would be a lot easier if I could one time assemble a salad in Fitness Pal and save that and every time I want to add a salad to my diary I could just add "Salad" and not have to add each indiviual ingredient.

The same with my smoothies, rather than entering/searching for 6 or 7 ingredients I want to just add Smoothie (one that has the ingredients I built once). I have to believe that process exists. By the way I do have Premium so if it is a feature only in premium that is okay for me.

The recipe builder and Meals features in MFP are the way to do that.

If you save your salad as a meal, you can log the salad as a meal next time you eat it, just one thing to click. Each ingredient will be copied into your diary in the amount that you used when you first saved the meal or last edited the meal. That can be helpful for something like salad, where maybe last week you made it with red peppers, but today you're out of peppers so you omit them. You can still log the meal, then just delete the peppers line. You can also adjust individual ingredients' quantity right in your diary, if you used more tomato this time than last or something like that.

Recipes are different. Those, you put in exact quantities when you create the recipe, and assign a number of servings. When you log the recipe in the future, you log X number of servings of it, and one line appears in your diary. That might be good for something like - for example - lasagna, where you use the same recipe to make it every time, and always cut the pan into 8 equal pieces, or something like that. If you eat a piece and a half, you can still log it as 1.5 pieces, but you can't change individual ingredients or amounts right in your diary like you can with meals.

These features are in both premium and free MFP, and work pretty much the same in both, maybe exactly the same.
