Most of my snacks are one ingredient, TBH. 😉 I'm talking cheese, hard boiled egg (I wouldn't call the seasoned salt an actual ingredient), dry-roasted edamame, fruit. Is something with two or three ingredients a recipe? 🤔

How about plain nonfat Greek yogurt + chocolate peanut better powder + frozen berries?

You're funny annpt77, yes it's a two or three ingredient "recipe" on whatever works as snacking! 😄

Obviously, but I'm posting because it's bugging me: "peanut butter powder" not "peanut better powder". Not autocorrect, just me mistyping. 😬

No worries, AnnPT77. I understood what you really meant despite the error/typo. Mistakes do pass like fleet! Oh well, let it go and move forward. To me, you said "butter" not "better". We are all good! 👍🏼

One of my favorite afternoon snacks is a hard boiled egg with everything bagel seasoning and 1 oz of beef jerky. (128 calories). Very satisfying to me. I also like 10 Blue Diamond Almond Nut-Thins & a wedge of Laughing Cow Light cheese (90 cals). Both of these satisfy my snacking urge. At night I want something that makes me feel like I'm getting a dessert so often it's a serving of fruit (raspberries, blueberries or strawberries, usually) with a dollop of sugar free Cool Whip.

Can I come to your house for snacks? Lol. Your snacks sound better than my meals.

I like fruit and veggies, but my very wise dietitian once told me no fruit or raw veg alone; Always with protein if you're concerned about type 2 diabetes. I'm not a cook and not imaginative, so it's always fruit or veggies with either cottage cheese, yogurt or string cheese. Booorrrrring. But it keeps my body going. 😃

    For snacks I like:

    Baby carrots

    Dried bison

    Hard boiled eggs

    Dried cauliflower bites

    Pears

    Berries

Bone broth singles with seaweed flakes

    Sliced meat or poultry

    Walnuts

Most of the above can be dipped with hummus, dip, yogurt or nut butter.

I'm currently cutting weight so no snacks for me, but when I return to maintenance I look forward to a return of my preferred snacks (I rotate between them):

    Spoonful of crunchy peanut butter

Cheese "sandwich" - cheddar cheese chunks nestled between Wheat Thins crackers

Salted almonds and semi-sweet chocolate chips (eaten one at a time, alternating)

    Sliced red pepper strips

Pre-mixed OTC protein shake (for days my meals are light on protein)
