How do you find support friends here now?

hello, all. I just rejoinedFP… I’ve used it a couple of times over the years with a lot of success with my motivation and discipline was and it really helped me out. I’m really disappointed to find out that they discontinued the newsfeed with friends… That was my favorite part! Seeing what your friends are doing and offering encouragement and receiving the same encouragement in return. I just rejoined six days ago and I’ve yet to find any helpful ways to connect with friends for accountability. I’ve heard about groups? I responded to a message on here about a challenge group for this month but my message in the post has gone ignored..

What’s working for you guys (and girls)? Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

I’ve been lifting weights pretty consistently for a long time now but my diet has been awful. I need to shed about 20 pounds first and foremost for my health and I’d also like for the muscle I have to be more easily revealed haha…

Suggestions? Friend request me if you would also like support.

I’m Brandon. Thanks!! 🤜🏼🤛🏼

I just restarted using the app again also. Has changed a lot. I am looking for accountability partners also. Let me know if you are interested. Good luck!

Hello. But the problem with this app is it had this feed option which is discontinued now.
So do we post in one post or how to proceed if we plan for accountability? Or email ? You can tell me if you like .

Welcome to MFP! (Or welcome back, as appropriate!)

While the newsfeed is gone, the forums remain. You can search through the list of available challenges and groups to find one which seems to align to your personal interests, or you can start a thread of your own. Anybody can respond to these threads (both friends and friends-you-haven't-met-yet). In these threads you can ask questions, answer the questions of others, post success stories, and more.

Unfortunately, there's no guarantee of getting an individualized response, and sometimes not in a timely manner. But don't assume because one thread isn't helpful that all threads are equally unhelpful. Just like real life where some friends are mooches, others are comrades-in-arms, and others are hanger-ons, so too will you find posters with different personalities. Some of us are very active in trying to answer questions and offer encouragement, but there's often far more posts than we have time to answer every single one. Sometimes we're overwhelmed; sometimes we simply miss a post or question.

If one thread doesn't seem to work, find another. (Small caveat: please give at least 24-48 hours for a response before assuming you're out of luck.) Also, try to match your question with an appropriate forum: a question about bodybuilder is more likely to be answered in the bodybuilding forum, for example.

@bwilliams2118 I too miss the newsfeed.. I’d suggest some active groups that meet your needs.. esp if you are looking for support with healthy eats.
You can bookmark a few forum threads as well that are active.
