First let me start of by stating WHAT AN AMAZING YEAR, very happy with my first year results. I was completely green to lifting, but realized I was at a point that I needed to check into it when I stumbled onto Roberta Saum. Her results are pure inspiration and her desire and ability to helps others is remarkable. Thank you Ro and thank you Venus and Eat Stop Eat.
My Venus start date was September 10, 2012, I had tried many other programs over the last 4 years but never found the results and clear information as Venus produces. I don’t regret any steps in my journey, each program I used provided me a wealth of knowledge and an arsenal of cardio, yoga, dance, plyometrics and strength training. My journey to being healthy and fit began in January 2009 when after 20+ years I quit smoking. After a few months of detoxing my body of those carcinogens it was time to get serious about improving how I ate and dedicating my interests to exercise. I taught myself to run and after 6 months was running 5K to 5 miles during my lunch hour. In September of 2009 I found Venus. I will turn 42 in a few weeks and feel better about myself than I ever have, I not only participate in being in pictures with friends and family, I even take selfies…crazy I know.
I had my children early, put all my focus into my family. Recently celebrated 18 years of marriage any my youngest is a junior in high school this year. I will admit to making a choice to put worrying about my own physical and mental health on hold for my family. I waited late in life to get my education and when I graduated promised myself that my physical and mental self was next. Again, I have no regrets…here I am and I love Venus.
My initial weight and measurements (9/10/12)
Weight 178.8
Shoulders 43”
Waist 34”
Hips 40.5”
Wearing a size 12 and large tops
End of the initial 12 week fat loss program (1/8/13)
Weight 159.0
Shoulders 41.25”
Waist 31.75”
Hips 37.75”
WOW, amazing results. On the wall in my office hangs at whiteboard, the day I moved into that office was 10/1/12. I remember writing my weight loss goal on the bottom right corner…170 or 10 (weight or size)..Did that 10/24/12, next goal 160..did that 12/25/12. 150 has been my mimesis, I just can’t seem to keep it below 150, 147 – 152 is where I currently maintain.
Current measurements at 8/30/13
Weight 152.2
Shoulders 38.25”
Waist 31”
Hips 36.25”
Wearing a size 4 and medium tops
I will take those results any day of the week and twice on Sundays. I love how far I have come,
The other day when I began to think about what I was going to put in my blog, I stumbled across a print out from a IF Calculator which I filled out online on 9/28/12. I entered all of my current information and that my goal was to lose 20 lbs. The calculator estimated it would take me 30 weeks (by 4/26/13) to achieve my goals (154.6). I not only met but exceeded that goal using Venus and ESE, on 4/26/13 I weighed in at 148.6. These two programs really are a perfect fit for me and my lifestyle. All of my workouts are done at home except running, which is an outside stress reliever. I use MFP to track my calories and exercise but do not use it to influence my thinking or what I put into my body. My diary is closed but love having Venus sisters who encourage me daily. I strive everyday to emanate positive energy and want to spread the same motivation so many people have shared with me. Currently looking into courses in nutrition coaching, who knows, maybe one day.
