    ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND 196.4

    04/11-DNW- (Trend Weight: DNW)

    04/12 – 196.4 (Trend Weight – 195.4)

04/13-196.6- (Trend Weight: 195.5) I am still in the grab & go mentality during this storm mess but things are looking better and better in the yards. We are definitely eating more restaurant food as we take breaks from the cleanup. I got the hauling off help yesterday and got some more picking up and raking done which is probably helping to keep some of my calories burned off. Lots of tarp dragging full of yard debris to the bonfire area for later burning. I have a very wide house with the attached side entry garage so it’s a long way around to the back when we are working in the front. There will be more work today. This is what my primary focus must be right now for sure. Schools are back in session which means that the region is improving though many are still without power. The weather has improved and that is a tremendous help. There are still snapped trees that I will have to contend with. At some point I will have to contend with this weight gain too. If I could mitigate further weight damage it would make it much easier to lose any excess weight that started with the hotel stays and has landed me here eating no-so-healthy meals and snacks. It’s a mess and I’m a mess but this too shall pass.

🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 04/14-DNW- (Trend Weight: DNW) Nopity-Nope to the scale today. Spent yesterday evening in self-sabotage mode and it was bad. Really bad. Every bit of worry and stress has seriously caught up to me. Perhaps tomorrow or the next day will see me back on the scale. Snow expected today and tomorrow here in Michigan. SOS appointment today to renew license becoming Real ID compliant. Time to renew tabs before May birthday anyway. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I’ll pass the required eye exam with my eye issues including (but not limited to) that hole in the back of my right eye. Seriously worried.

    04/19-xxxxx- (Trend Weight: xxxxx)

    04/20-xxxxx- (Trend Weight: xxxxx)

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Well, turns out (in my lack of instant pot knowledge) the one I got was a Duo and it only came with the air fryer lid. I ordered a replacement pressure lid for it and it is set to arrive this week. So nothing so far! But the plan was chicken and rice which I ended up cooking on the stove top instead.

@CamandJarvis ~ you learn something new every day! I didn't know the instant pot came with an air fryer lid! I've had one for quite some time now, so maybe that's a new development. The best that I've made in my instant pot are ribs…they fall off the bone, next would be carnitas.

@itladyee Charissa, DH just looked up Virgil’s. It’s “on the Strip” so prices are ridiculous. Jesse Rae’s is on Boulder Hwy in Henderson. There was a second location which had an electrical fire but is going to be rebuilt, I think it was close to the Strip. I don’t order carby sides so just get 1/2# or pound of brisket or burnt ends. I usually order 1/2# and eat what I want and bring the rest home. There is usually close to half a pound left so their scale is generous! 🤪

When we took our friends on Friday, he grumbled the whole time about lunch costing $40 - he had an insane amount of food - and he could have gotten dinner (early bird special) for all of us for that and wide selection of food at Golden Corral.

@quiltingjaine ~ Yes, it was on the strip, and I do recall it being expensive, but it was really good! I will make a note to search out Jessie Rae's! Thanks!

‼️I’m here! I did not and spent the whole day at the property still cleaning and painting… We had a surprise though… The neighbor across the street walked over and said “I’m buying your house”. Well well well I think they will! What a blessing! We will know within the next few days I guess… Once we close on the house to whomever buys it I will tell y’all the story… It’s been an emotional four years.
I’m still emotionally and physically tired from the state tennis tournament this past weekend I’m sure tomorrow I will be back on track and I will weigh in… Feeling bloated and heavy and dehydrated so let’s see what happens.

@_JeffreyD_ sleep, advice? I’m the worst… I’ve tried every piece of advice. Even trying the 4–7–8 breathing method and it works for everybody else but me.(or 4-4-7). Breathe in through your nose for the first number, hold for the Second, breathe out through your mouth the third number. it’s definitely relaxing. For me, sleep is a balancing act. If I go to bed too tired at 8:30, I wake up between 2AM and 3AM. If I go to bed without working out, I sleep horribly. My best night sleep is when I walk 5 to 6 miles a day & 🏋️‍♀️. I haven’t done that consistently for 2 1/2 months. I promised myself I would take this round seriously and that starts tomorrow!

I don’t know how all of you do it juggling work and parenting… I have to figure out how to multitask and regulate my thoughts, turning to feelings, then actions… & actions become identity! Onward!

4/15 133.8 some of this uptick is legitimate. Some of it is just not drinking enough water (very dehydrated) and no TMI for a LONG time! My body is discombobulated & my first order of business is to get it back to my optimum “routine“.

We’ve been eating on the go, mostly healthy, but still random prepared /restaurant foods with a gazillion unknown oils/ingredients… and unknown macro/calorie counts… guessing. I’m used to whole foods / single ingredient/ … eating at home. Will go to the grocery store today & plan my single ingredient food/nutrition. If I was truly in the zone, I would be planning ahead each day & eating at home- and we have not!

I wont set unrealistic goals of 🚶‍♀️10k  or🏋️‍♀️ till Thursday/Friday. We are still in “property mode” as I’m on my feet all day and cleaning… pretty sure I’m getting enough of a workout.  😎 My first goal is to fuel my body appropriately with lots of protein & water. It’s good to be back!

    This is my posting format….

Month/Day: Scale Reading - First thing today after bathroom visit before getting dressed. (Calories-In yesterday)/ Comment

    4/10/25 : 227.8 SW a day before.

    4/11: 227.6 (1823 CI)
A weekend is upon us and fortunately there are no planned social/eating opportunities stacked up. My nerd sheet tells me I am trending to 228.6, thanks to my shady past. I am out to prove him wrong.

Found out yesterday my DSIL biopsy shows she has breast cancer. We are all hoping and praying they caught it soon enough that she will recover well with treatment. She has no pain or symptoms or lumps, but found it with a mammogram. Her husband has been treating lung cancer for two years. When it rains it pours, but our family has faith to lean on.

    4/12: 227.8 (1703 CI)

    4/13: 227.2 (1528 CI)
I got distracted yesterday and did not post. Grandbaby duty (privilege) in morning, then lunch at the cookout my son’s employer (meat shop) does every Saturday, then quick walk with DW, then Masters Golf on the tube. By that time I was spaced…

I did log yesterday after the fact and though I ate less than normal, the CI seems pretty low. I must be forgetting something.

    4/14: 227.4 (1722 CI)
Got up too early this morning. Sleep is one of my “issues.” I couldn’t sleep-in if my life depended on it. I am usually up two hours ahead of DW. Here are the facts about last week:
    • 5h 56m sleep per day average
    o Deep Sleep 1h 2m
    o Light Sleep 3h 31m
    o REM Sleep 1h 22m
    o Awake 48m
o The four categories above are scattered and mixed throughout the night.
    • 77 sleep average score. Whatever that means. Fitbit says its “fair.”
    • Average sleep schedule 10:30pm – 5:15am (I am usually in bed before 10:30pm)

My average heart rate last night was 52 BPM (am I even alive?)

I have to question how important it is to even know all of this stuff.
    I. Must. Resist. Putting. This. On. A. spreadsheet!

I am accepting suggestions on what works for you to improve sleep without taking a “sleep aid” pill. BTW my alcohol intake most days is zero. Two cups of coffee down the hatch before 9am or so.

    4/15: 227.4 (1595)
Woke up for the first of many times at 12:30 am.

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 293
    April 11 – 20, 2025

    SW: 132.0

4/11- 130.2 Big surprise that was not such a big surprise given my visits to the bathroom yesterday and this morning. Don’t know what made a difference from one day to the next. Calories were good yesterday. Did 3 lap (5 mile) walk. Today, I am going to walk, but I am also heading to the gym. Facing out to eat AGAIN, tonight, but this morning’s number gives me hope that I will end this round with some sort of 130 number. I have pre-tracked my day, so I do have a plan

    Looking at my 2023 history, on Jan 1, 2023, I was 146.6, March 2 138.0, and April 11, I was 131.4. By May 1, 2023, I was 128.2.

Looking at my 2925 History, on Dec 31, 2024, I was 138.2 March 1 135.2, and April 11 (today) 130.2 (but 132 yesterday). Pattern is slower this time, but does show me I can make it into the upper 120’s before looking at MOG dresses in May, and if my summer is good, I should be comfortable at the September wedding.

4/12- 130.2 yesterday kept evolving but I adjusted my plans as I went along. I did walk 3 laps, also went to the gym and did elliptical, then and hour workout. The guys were successfully fishing which meant my plans at the restaurant changed, so I re-tracked that. Anyhow, I made it through the day!

Today, we have been invited to friends for dinner. I have no idea what they are serving. This will actually be harder than yesterday.

4/13- 130.6 I handled yesterday as well as possible and moderately exceeded preferred calories. My win for the day was that I did not binge once I got back to the condo after the dinner at friends. I considered it a number of times, but did not. Glad I controlled it, but it is crazy that I even needed to fight this urge.

4/14- 132.0 Yup, expected that. Heading out for my walk in 30. Will pre-track and today will be a normal day. Curious how many days will take to undo yesterday.

4/15- 132.4 Did not feel right all day. Even resorted to a nap in the early afternoon. We had dinner plans with friends for pizza, and was ready two slices. We all get to the restaurant and there is a sign “closed for spring maintenance. Now we end up at a Thai restaurant. Calories were not good. Salt was not good. Today though, is straight forward – all food being pre-tracked and have 7th session with the trainer.

    SW RND 293 -165.0

    Goal: Becoming myself again 🚢

Getting lazy with it, slipping a bit. I need to refocus on pre-tracking and prepping, and getting my walking in. I have Hashimoto’s autoimmune so when I get tired I really have to respect it - my body doesn’t respond well to “pushing through”. But that can translate into not pushing at all or spending too much time in the horizontal position with a plate of snacks on my belly, so maybe a little more pushing wouldn’t hurt 🫢🫤

    4/11-165
    4/12- 165.8 🦞
    4/13-DNW
    4/14- 165.4

Wow some of you really have some projects going!!!

@itladyee hope you are feeling better today!

@skyleen75 yes we still have time to get things moving let’s make days 6-10 count!

4/11  134.0  1 good day in a row. That’s how it starts. Taking friends for BBQ this afternoon.  I will get 1# of brisket. It freezes well.

4/12  133.5 Another good day. Our female friend liked the barbecue, her husband said it was “okay.” It has been rated as one of the best BBQ restaurants in Las Vegas. I should mention that he is a very large man and every eating establishment is compared to Golden Corral!

4/13   133.5  Going to our daughter’s to work on our group quilt project.

4/14   132.5  Yesterday’s get together was cancelled because DSIL took a tumble and did something to his knee.

    04/13-196.6- (Trend Weight: 195.5)

04/14-DNW- (Trend Weight: DNW) Nopity-Nope to the scale today.

🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰 04/15-198.7 ❌ (Trend Weight: 195.7) Ut Oh! And I travel tomorrow for my dental cleaning so the scale is not going to get any better anytime soon. All I can do is try to have a decent day in the midst of my mess right now. Looking for a lighter number tomorrow. Taking it day by day. Nearly flunked the eye with the side vision part but found my head was not square on the head pad so it wasn’t me. It was my eyes. So relieved! In regards to this journey of mine, I would love to say that I’m going to have a great week but I really don’t think I’m there yet. So much to focus on right now after this Storm of the Century. First things first……

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

    4/11 150

    4/12 148.8

    4/13 148.6

4/14 no loss today (wasn't expecting one because I had a half cup of mashed potatoes yesterday and carbs always result in a hold or a gain)

BUT MAJOR WIN!!!!! after six months of low carb dieting, my blood sugar tested NORMAL this morning for the first time at 96!!!!!!!!!!! This is what I have been working toward. I am so happpppy!!!! I despaired at ever getting here.

4/15 147.8 2 pounds to go to "not overweight"

Thanks for all the congrats on my BS win :) I am still very happy.

    4/11 - 168.3

    4/12 - 167.7

    4/13 - 169.4

    4/14 - 167.7

4/15 - 167.3 - Another drop. I found out about a death in the family today and managed to stop myself at one singular girl scout cookie. Progress. It did put me 3g over my buffer on carbs for the day and right at my 10g buffer on fats but I'm okay with this, all things considered. It was also lower (leg) day so a bit of extra carbs likely won't hurt too much in the long run. Tomorrow will be hectic. I have a general idea for food but tonight I need to figure out what I'm eating and get things planned out. Dinner will be chicken quarters but unsure sides. Lunch will have something to do with the bbq pulled chicken I batch cooked. No clue about breakfast. Ugh. Next week will be better since the Man will be home and I can resume my normal prep schedule.
