Day 11of the 75 hard challenge!

I’m on day 11 of the 75 hard challenge! For the life of me the scale isn’t moving, I’m using the app to track my food and even purchased a food scale. I know I shouldn’t be looking for to much these to change, but I want to see something! lol!

The 75 hard is not a weight loss plan but a discipline challenge, you knew that going in right? So do you feel better physically and mentally? That is the purpose of the challenge.

If the heavy exercise schedule in 75 hard was new for you, you could still be seeing water retention effects in a short time like 11 days. If you're of an age/stage to have menstrual cycles, that's even more true.

Realistically, it takes 4-6 weeks to see the average net effect of a new eating and activity regimen, or at least one whole menstrual cycle so you can compare body weight at the same relative point in at least 2 different cycles when using that program. The more extreme the program, the more true this is, I suspect.

I know this can be frustrating, sincerely . . . but I think that's realistic advice. It takes patience and persistence, especially in those first weeks.

Once you have that much time at close to the same eating/activity, and you're logging food carefully, you'll have all the personalized data you need to begin adjusting your calorie goal - if necessary - to fine tune weight loss rate.

Short of that much time, tweaking strategies is more likely to be an over-reaction to temporary fluctuations, plus will muddy up that personal data enough that you won't be able to do an evidence-based calorie adjustment.

    Hang in there!
