First step

Hey everyone!
I'm Yoru. 5'9" starting weight of 290lbs (down about 3lbs so far π). I would love to be below 200lbs but a bigger goal for me is to be happy and comfortable in my skin.
So I'm sure it's relatable, this is my who knows how "many-th" time starting a weight loss, fitness, health, etc... journey.
I've had to fight with a lot of self-sabotage, negative self-talk, emotional rollercoasters relating food, and all the information that completely contradicts each other. I've also recently learned I've got the beginnings of hypothyroidism, not that I am going to have it as an excuse, it's just another thing I'm working with.
I've decided to start clean, bring all my knowledge over but stick to the basics. I've set my weight loss calories, set my goal macros (protein focus) and opted in trying the new meal plans. Half the time the hardest part for me after everything, is choosing what to eat. So hopefully this helps makes this part of my day easier.
I wanted to introduce myself to start the beautiful accountability.
I'm not sure what else to share but I look forward to meeting other people on the same journey and supporting each other.
