Personal Time ✅January: good until I got sick. (I rarely get sick ~ thanks grandkids! )
February: it seemed my body was trying to overcompensate for being sick....it was odd.
March R1: I did fairly well last round, Down 2.2 vs the 3.3 that I wanted but I will take as a win. Continuing my focus for the month, micromanaging! My March BHAG ~Big Hair Audacious Goal is to lose 10lbs. 10lbs in March translates to about 3.9 pounds for the next 2 rounds. March R2 ~ screech and halt. I stopped micromanaging and was just mentally blah. Back on it for the remainder of the month. Surely won't do 10 but I can stay below my ending February number!How Will I do this:
Micromanager ~ proactive and timely review of my actions.
Aiming for 10k steps per day. Aim to burn 2,900+ calories (per Apple watch which translates into closing my move goal)
TDEE experiment ~ I will elaborate on this after a couple of weeks.

Round 294 (April 21 - 30, 2025): First time on this challenge! 😀
I need more motivation, inspiration and accountability in my life and I believe this challenge will give me the support I need, thank you. ☺️ I intend to weigh myself at the start and finish of the round and will update my progress within the group at the end. My height is 5'3" and I currently weigh 63.6kg (140.21 lb). My ultimate goal weight is 54kg.
Each day my goals are:
- To log my foods/exercise into Myfitnesspal
- Document my progress each day
- Eat healthier and reduce the intake of junk food
- Reduce alcohol intake
- Aim to go to the gym 4 times per week.

4/21- how badly I want to write did not weigh!!!!! Easter was a total fail. I gained five pounds in three days and went over a number I never thought I’d go over. Especially since I’ve been trending down for the last month.
181.2! What a kick in the pants. Dinner was almost two hours late so I just kept grazing. MIL had bowls of candy and snacks every where. I didn’t really enjoy any of it but I ate it all. I had zero control. I was not engaged in my health.
Fingers crossed I can just get back to 175-177 this round. It’s my own fault, I know I need to dial up my effort with calories but the last six months I just haven’t been able to get myself amped.My victory today is posting that ugly number when I didn’t want to be honest or share.

I often have fluctuations, but this huge swing is serious. Behaviors have been erratic since early February - will focus on “doing” and not “being”.

I expected to go up, but this actually surprised me a bit. Maybe it will slap me in the face and wake me up.Having said that I need to give myself a bit of grace. We had our traditional comfort Easter foods yesterday with candy mixed in all day. DS brought cheesy potatoes, green been casserole, and home-made baklava. I smoked a spiral cut ham (with maple syrup brushed between each flap with a sprinkled salty dry rub) and we had a few other sides. Sugar cookies for desert.
I am “out of the woods” for a bit here and can concentrate on making some real progress. I will start logging again. Might take a day or so to “detox.”

🎷 66 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 294 (my 224th). So grateful as always @Quiltingjaine.
Goals for every round;
First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available.This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 66 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

4/21 DNW – yesterday we rode the motorbike to Sheffield on the annual Easter Egg run to raise funds for the children’s hospital; our youngest DGS received treatment in there as a 6 month old before his liver transplant, so the charity is dear to our hearts. We do it together with our DS, but this year was a little different, instead of our DIL riding pillion with him, his oldest DD,(aged 6 ½) rode with him now that her legs are long enough to reach the footrests. She was so excited! Three generations took part this year! A total of 827 bikes turned out! Not heard yet how much money was raised.

10 day goal is to: stick with it. Not be on a mission to finish the easter leftovers. If they spoil they spoil! Increase my water. Track my foods, even if my intake exceeds my MFP goal. I know my first week will be an adjustment.
I'm nearing my all time high weight. This is my first day on MFP. Last week I knew things had to change, but the holiday was going to set me up for first week failure. I signed up for MFP today, found this challenge and thought, "I can manage this for a win."
I used to be quite fit. I lifted daily and worked out 1.5-2 hrs a day…had abs and all that. My self esteem is in the toilet right now. I'm a 48 yr old gran, who feels like an 80 yr old gran. Hopefully future updates will be more brief…lol

I like the short term nature of this challenge. I’ve been off routine for a few weeks and need to get back going strong. Thanks so much for the board/forum and advice of how to get started.

4/21- 168.9 - Up today but that's water weight, I think. I stayed relatively close to my goals yesterday despite Easter. I did indulge in some wine which probably didn't help the scale, especially since I sacrificed more water than I should've. Saturday was our date night which, as always, causes some bloating. I'm feeling confident, though, this will drop off and I can get back to making progress! BF has started back at the gym with me this morning but that also means we have to be quick about getting home in a timely manner so he can get ready and be off to work on time which gives me more time to make breakfast fresh without cutting into my work hours which is nice. Lunch and dinner are prepped so just reheat and eat! Feeling good I can make good choices this week and this round!5 -
Hi there! I am ready to begin again in an effort to create sustainable habits. Currently on activity restrictions following hysterectomy on 4/17. With lifting restrictions, repetitive movement, and exercise off limit, I will set goals that are doable.
Daily meditation, adequate water intake of 84oz/day, no alcohol, avoiding sugary and processed foods.

You can do it. I'm a 68 year old 5'4" F, and I have lost 50 pounds in the last six months or so, so it is doable. currently 148. And I don't lift weights or do other cardio. I just walk. At times, I have hit frustrating plateaus (I've been stuck at the same weight for a week now) of 2-3 weeks, but eventually the scale drops. And I had a normal blood sugar this morning, too. Working to keep that normal every day.

🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 04/21-195.0 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 196.5) Easter was very simple this year due to the ice storm issues at each family members houses. Of course, we made sure that all the grandkiddos got their gifts from the Easter Bunny. Dinner was simple but, as you might expect, salty. I plan on drinking lots of water today. Weight is down today on the scale. I’m very pleased as I was extra thoughtful of my partaking yesterday and it looks like it paid off. However, we all know it sometimes shows up a day or two later so I’ll be keeping a watchful eye. Tomorrow is family dr appointments for son and I. We will go out to lunch afterward as is his habit.
