Biggest lessons learned from weight loss

It's pretty amazing what the weight loss journeh can teach you. Some threads here are making me reflect on important things I've learned other than portion control.

For me the biggest deals were goal-setting, & the importance of habit/grit/persistence as they relate to achievement.

I feel I've been able to transfer that stuff to other areas of life. (There have been lots of other things, some interpersonal, some related to self-esteem, but in terms of useful skills, goal-setting was a super important one I'm glad I got to, however late.) Now I'm learning other things. You?

I agree! The sense of completing a goal or a set is an amazing feeling! Just love the sense of accomplishment! And look as well. ;)

What I have learned from my weight loss journey: contrary to real life, a lot of women on mfp find me sexy.

Other than that, not much for me to really learn from it. The goal and discipline and all that stuff had to be learned years ago. Otherwise I wouldn't have an engineering degree.

I learned that I really was out of shape, because I never realized I was, it just took me getting in shape to see that..
